Jan’s POV
“Is your sister sick again this morning?” Theo asks over breakfast after noticing her absence at the breakfast table. “I wouldn’t mind her staying back again with me today. We can entertain each other with a few more games of chess. I promise to go easy on her this time.”
“I have no idea if she’s sick or not,” I reply sullenly. “Izzy’s gone!”
“What do you mean, Izzy’s gone?” Theo asks, looking confused as well as concerned. “She hasn’t been abducted, has she?”
“No, she just left,” I reply unhappily as I pick at my breakfast offerings. “Along with gamma Freddie and Sonia. They didn’t even wake us up to say goodbye before they left this morning!”
“Our sister was missing her mate,” Amy clarifies for him. “She will be back in a few weeks, when I am about ready to leave.”
