Dougy’s POV I could tell that Isabell was watching and listening very carefully to everything that was being said during the meeting of the council, and who was saying it. I get the feeling that this meeting is going to either make or break any budding relationship we might have. And I want to make damn sure that I came out looking masterful and in charge. That I have everything under control, and that I’m doing this for her as well as the betterment of my constituency. So I put forth my charges against my uncle and his family, then we argued the matter over about as civilly as Scots can.
