Dougy’s POV
Izzy’s obvious approval of Creag a Mhadaidh castle and her enthusiastic admiration of her guest suite is a huge relief to me. To me, this castle and the work I have put into it is like an extension of myself, so my image and self worth is tied up greatly into that. If Izzy had blown off everything I have done here, I don’t see how we could ever come back from that.
If she approves of my digs, then she likewise approves me. It’s as simple as that! It’s like a male bird building a fancy nest to attract the lady birds. It shows that I will be a good provider, and will take good care of our future family and that they should want for nothing.
