Izzy’s POV Dinner was interesting. To start with, the food was different from what I was used to back home. I don’t believe I had ever had lamb before. Or goose. Or trout. And those were my options. I wasn’t sure just which one to choose, so I went with the fish. It turns out it was ‘potted trout’ which was more like a cold pate like spread to eat with oatcakes. It was fine, but next time I would probably choose one of the other options. I was also served a soup called cockaleekie which was quite nice, boiled potatoes and peas, and a rhubarb shortbread crumble cake for dessert.
