“What’s with the light show?” I asked, frowning as I realized, that they did that every time his wolf was close to the surface. “Your eyes are red again!”
Now, I might not know a lot about wolves, but I’d never heard of wolves with red eyes before. Lust and/or rage was usually black – seen that a couple of times – and they sometimes turned golden-colored when their wolves were close to the surface; sometimes because they were curious or because they took over the human body and did whatever they wanted to be done. It was a practical thing wolves could do. If they couldn’t shift because they were in human-populated areas or wanted to do tasks, their wolf form couldn’t.
