6.Contract Bidding

Next day morning, Mike went to office. There his best buddy Andrew Wilson is waiting for him in his office. Mike reached his cabin surprise to see his friend and asked him

"hey buddy long time no see, may I know the reason for your sudden entry in my office?  Andrew said , I came here to tell you that there is government contract for construction of y junction flyover which combines  the city from all four parts from north ,south ,east and west regions and it worth of four billion dollars and Vicki is also bidding this project to get it, I suggest you can win this project to defeat her in business world then she can understand your capability and may be she comes back".

Mike took deep breath and said " Andrew you misunderstood her, Vicki is not that naive woman and lose his partner on capability, she knows very well  about my capacity in business and how I acquire my ancestors business and here comes about bidding we are ready to get the project and I specifically designed and quoted all parameters, if she loses

 it then she can work hard in other project but her accusations are about her father’s death and her ancestors wealth disappeared entirely ".

Andrew, you better knew about us we both were friends and studied in same college. I think all these years you mistook her. She always loves her family and respect her father and imagine "if we loose someone important in our lives then how we react ",same way she is doing.

I literally proud of my woman Vicki for her achievements and she is a good competitor in this deal and I believe her, she gives healthy competition in this project.

I always say you "Don't judge the book by its cover ", I respect her decisions.

After hearing all this Andrews opinion on her has changed.

In Medwin group towers, Vicki was in deep thought about the construction project. She is confident on getting this project as per the quotation and bid value everything looks perfect and her estimation is perfect to get the project.

She thought , once she wins this project she can prove to her husband in corporate world she is the leading lady of decade. Her intentions are healthy in competition and she is equivalent with her husband.

But her husband knows her capability..

On day of contract bidding, Vicki dressed in white formal suit and looks like swan. when she arrived in bidding office everyone's gaze has stuck and admired her beauty but as usual she is cold and dominant.

Mike dressed in grey suit and looks devilishly handsome. All ladies in bidding office are staring at him. But his gaze always stuck when he sees Vicki, he thought to kiss on her lips deeply but as usual its public place and she is far away to catch now.

He quickly dismissed all his naughty thoughts on her and put in dominated face..

Bidding starts on time and every one handover their quotation documents and price parameters.

After receiving all documents bidding officials discussed about price factor and commitment of completion. Officials asked them to present their views in public to avoid the unnecessary allegations later but condition is " Every company must present all required quote and price and commitment as same as in submission docs, it shouldn't deviate even tiny information , if any changes at last minute would not be accepted".

Everyone started their presentations and tension in the air is very high. Vicki starts her presentation; all are suffocating and lose their hope to win the project.

After her spell bond presentation, Mike started and it is clean and regularize in price and commitment is like four years where as Vickis was five years. Price he quoted is 2 billion where Vickis 3 billion.

Officials went on discussion room and everyone thinks that even Vicki 's quote is bit high but chances of winning the project is also high.

But once officials announced that "Marcus Constructions won the project and Mike is in happy mood as he expected the same results.

Everyone are gossiping about winning, officials stated that " here we consider our estimated price and time frame for the project are key source to select and material with regular price and high quality is  preferred here, among all the quotes we proud to say Marcus constructions can achieve our dream of y junction flyover ".

We hope Mr. Mike Stone will fulfill our expectations and we are delighted to work with your construction company and we aspire to work with you in future projects as well. Our cooperation will be succeeded and people will enjoy the benefit of this project.

After their announcement, everybody left and Vicki is about to go but Mike stopped her.

Mike said " Vicki don't get disappointed here. You are strong woman I believe you talent in every field this one is piece of it slipped from your hand, there are ample of  opportunities to win , sometimes we have to accept the other people's worth and luck".

Hearing all his advice she said "I never underestimate my ability which you are motivating me now and I agree sometimes luck favors for our efforts, I really appreciated your efforts here to win the project and remember I'm not the type of woman who easily get jealous on winning, moreover you know me we'll I'm Victoria means victory. Sometimes it may fail but not all the times and any way congratulations for winning and hope you keep up the government faith in this project and consider people safety is prior here" .

Best of luck Micky, don't give any motivatonal classes to me . I'm bold and I can handle everything. She held her head high and left the place.

Mike was used to her behavior.
