Chapter One
Standing in the bright lights, it was hard to see anything outside the ring. That didn’t stop Diana from smiling her trademark toothy white grin. She had been doing this since before she could talk. Large crowds were a second home to her. In fact, with all the traveling she did, performing was her first and only home.
She caught sight of her parents backstage giving her the thumbs up, and blew them a graceful kiss. She loved when they came to watch her. They had been great in their day as well, but ceded their headliner status a few years back when her talent emerged.
She had quickly become the star of the show, the next generation of elite performer from a family full of talent. On occasion, they still joined in with her act, but mostly they were content to watch and listen
