Chapter Four The movie lived up to Evelyn’s prediction. It was full of explosions and fireworks, and with the exception of some language Mai found mildly uncomfortable, she’d felt relatively calm sitting through it. It wasn’t the kind of movie she'd pick for herself, but it had been okay. If she was completely honest with herself, the main reason she’d found the experience enjoyable was because she’d spent the entire movie distracted by the feel of Jake’s hand in hers. They’d traded glances throughout the movie, and Mai had counted the minutes until it was over. All she wanted to do was go somewhere and talk about what had happened earlier. But if she’d thought they’d be able to have a conversation immediately after the movie was over, she’d been wrong. Evelyn was bursting with energy
