32. Ice cold

**Maya** The wind picked up and felt like razors on your skin. First flakes started falling as I quickly walked back home to my apartment. The main house had been made stormproof and Karin had even offered for me to take Jason’s room but that seemed wrong somehow. Inside I turned up the heater and snuggled up on the couch with a book. I had taken Williams offer to eat with them tonight so I was all fueled up. Slowly the world outside turned white and I could hear the wind howling against the windows. The storm was increasing and the lights started flickering before going out all together. I moved to my bed, after making a last cup of tea, nesteling with a flashlight and all the blankets I could find.
