Mhia shook her head with a smile after a few moments. "Maybe relationships just aren't meant for me," she said. Despite not wanting to sound bitter, her tone still came out that way.
"I'm sorry..." Tiffany whispered softly.
She looked at Tiffany. She could see the sincerity in her eyes. And only she and Tiffany knew what Tiffany was asking for forgiveness for.
Adreianne laughed. "Why are you apologizing to Mhia? Did you do something wrong to her?" she asked.
Tiffany hesitantly smiled and shrugged. "Nothing," she said, reaching for a glass and pouring wine into it. She handed their glasses to them. "Can't we just enjoy this evening? It doesn't happen often, so I want to make the most of it," she added.
"Alright... Cheers!" Adreianne raised her wine glass in the air.
