CHAPTER TWENTY TWO ( Please don't eat us.)

    The sea serpent hissed for a long time but it didn't attack. When it stopped hissing,the sea around

them became quiet. Mupo slowly drew his sword and set it ablaze. He was finally getting the hang of

it. Benga also grabbed his club and axe. He put his club on his back, but held his axe with a mighty fine

grip.

    The serpent then slowly moved towards Jackandi, who was still sleeping. "Do something you guys!"

Jenka said worried about Jackandi. Whilst it was distracted with Jackandi, Nima walked to where her

spear was and she picked it up.

Mupo realised that Jackandi wasn't moving and also surprised that he managed to stay asleep whilst

all that stuff was happening. They slowly moved towards the beast. Poison then started dripping from

its fangs and dropped nearby Jackandi.

    "Ohh no." Mupo said. "It might kill him."

    "Relax." Benga said. "He's immortal remember."

    "Ohh yeah."

    "It'll still hurt him you fools! Do something." Jenka said.

    "We don't know what to do." The serpent's venom dropped near Jackandi's face and he got a

whiff of it and immediately woke up. When he looked up the first thing he saw was the serpent's face

looking at him.

    "Ahhh!!" He screamed and then moved away rolled away from it's head and in good time too.

Hardly had he rolled away than it sank its fangs into the deck of the ship. He ran to where Mupo and

Benga were standing. "What's going on?" He asked.

    "Did you enjoy your nap?" Mupo said to him. Then it removed its tail from the water,grabbed

Wolani and hoisted her.

    " ahh!.....help!" She screamed.

    "Oh no....that's not good." Mupo spoke."I'm coming!!" He yelled to her and then rushed to her. The

serpent shook her around and started to put her into the water. She realised what was happening and

held her breath before it pulled her into the sea."s**t!" Mupo exclaimed. He then put his sword back in

it's sheath and dove into the sea.

It tried to sink it's fangs into Nima, but she whacked it in the head with her spear. The serpent

targeted Jenka after Nima hit it, it tried to bite her but she was too fast. She ran to where Benga

and Jackandi were and hugged Jackandi. "Are you okay?"

    "Yes." She answered.

    "I don't think he's done with us." Nima pointed out and she was right. The serpent then tried to

strike Nima again but she jabbed it in the nostril causing It to hiss in pain.

    Meanwhile in the water Wolani was struggling to break free from it's grasp as Mupo swam towards

her. It was thrashing her in the water a lot, but it stopped. It must've have been because Nima jabbed

it in the nostril. Mupo saw it as an opportunity to set her free, so he unsheathed his sword and

prepared to slice it, but just as he swung his sword the serpent carried her to the surface. She was

finally able to breathe out and topped the exhalation with a cough. Mupo swam to the surface and

climbed onto the boat. "Are you okay?" He asked her, she just gave him a thumbs up. "Get ready to

hold your breath again." He then threw his sword at it's tail. It didn't get sliced off, but it got stuck in

it's tail. However the piercing set Wolani free and she plummeted into the water.

    He dove into the water to check on her, luckily, she managed to swim to the surface. He helped her

to the boat and swam back to it's tail. "Where are you going?" She asked him.

    "To get....back.....my sword." His sentences were incomplete since he was talking while swimming.

When he got to the tail he started climbing towards his sword.

The serpent tried striking Jackandi but he dodged it quickly and rushed to the weapons room.

    "Benga!" He yelled. "Which weapons can I use?"

    "You can grab a club!"

    "You don't have anything smaller?!"

    "They're all Python weapons, I don't have anything smaller!" He ravaged through the weapons and

found a club that had small tusks all around it. The beast went for Jenka again, but Benga punched it

in the head.

    "Did he just punch that thing?" Wolani thought. Everyone was amazed at how he didn't even need

a weapon. The snake tried attacking him, this time, she struck it with his axe but it dodged him. He

struck it again and at dodged again. He threw his axe at it but it caught it in it's mouth and threw it

into the sea.

    "I loved that axe." Benga said with anger. "A beast like you deserves a beating with this." He

removed his club from his back and swung it at the serpent. But the serpent avoided him and tried

to attack Jenka. She tried running but her foot got stuck in one of the holes in the deck. It headed

for her but Benga was being squashed by it's body and so was Nima . So he started striking it with

his club in one hand and punching it with his other with all his might, this weakened the serpent but

it persisted. The serpent did slow down but it was still heading for her. Nima tried striking it with her

spear in it's body but it was no use it kept moving and moving. Mupo thought he could dive into the

water, but he figured that even if he swam there he wouldn't make it in time, plus she was immortal so

she'd only feel the pain without dying.

    Just as it was about to sink it's fangs into Jenka, Jackandi came swinging a small club and hit it in

the head Jackandi then stood in front of her acting as a shield. Her eyes filled up with joy when she

saw him. "How dare you wake me up from my sleep?" He said and the joy quickly faded.
