*Adam King’s POV* ‘’I can’t let you take my father’s land!’’ Emilio said, standing aggressively, he flipped the chair. ‘’how dare you? Don’t think for one second that I can’t ruin your family. I assure you I do have the power to take everything away from you‘’ I said to Emilio, who instantly shriveled like a scared rat. The realization of the truth in that statement might have given him a mild stroke I could see it. ‘’Your father didn’t tell you?’’ ‘’of course you were only just a child’’ ‘’ I don’t believe you, my knew better than to make a deal with you’’ I chuckled. ‘’ You are right Emilio, he did, and he also knew that without help he would have lost everything years ago’’ ‘’ What help could he have possibly needed from you’’ ‘’ the kind only I could give. Your father was about to lose his land to the bank. It seemed like he was behind on his payments’’ ‘’My father was a business executive, a damn good one too. He had acres of land and cattle. He is as young as your daughter. I would like them to meet‘’ ‘’ your son and my daughter?’’ ‘’Of course Nadia is a beautiful young woman. She would be perfect for my son, maybe even perfect enough to be his wife’’ ‘’ WHAT!’’ Emilio yelled. ‘’ lower your tone or have you thrown out. Nadia would marry my son in order for her family to keep living on my land. Emilio was furious with the command he was receiving. Adams' tone clearly sounded like his general who had just demanded his life. He had no choice but to do it. My assistant rushes in and picks up the chair, ‘’ your son called earlier. He wanted to tell you he would be landing in a few hours’’ ‘’Great ill pick him up myself, book our flight to Dallas for this weekend please ‘’ That evening, I had dinner with Alex in my penthouse. He was about to handle the family's biggest moneymaker, the king's core of wealth. He had them trained for racing and eventually threw them onto the track. It took two years before his first horse won a race and that’s how it all began… Horses then won us titles that brought our family name to the world, and do you know what held it there? ‘’ Grandfather's restaurants?’’ ‘’ Yes, my father’s food chain. He loved calling it because he saw the livestock market as something entirely different. He saw demand and supply. One basic need that didn’t have a stable price was food. He bought cows and chickens. He had acres of land to farm, so he did, and that investment made this family millions, but that wasn’t enough. We deserved more ‘’ I poured myself and Alex a glass of wine before relocating to the living room. ‘’So what did you do?’’ Alex asked. ‘’I earned more, I expanded, I doubled my father’s capital and focused on the business side of it’’ ‘’ double of grandfather's capital? It was perfect for my plan, but the stubborn Allister McGregor wouldn’t sell, but then I found out that his father was slowly falling into bankruptcy. The money he owed the bank was in more zeros than I could possibly remember’’ ‘’ what?’’ ‘’ Yes, my son is lucky. He missed the big idea, but I couldn’t blame him. I was only just an old man. ‘’No Alex, I bought the shares of the bank that had the deeds to the land.
