The Wolf on a Dark Night

CHAPTER ONE A city that seem doomed which the street seemed silence like no one has ever reside there in, the wind blowing slowly and the dried leaves dancing from one location to another while the birds sings above their nest joyously and the whether a bit freezy ******** A young beautiful woman putting on dark colored gown with her hair packed with black band, she is a bit fat not too chubby, looking all confused. moving from one place to another In search “Bella…Bella…Bella…” Lydia utter in search for her daughter, standing in the middle of dim forest all alone wondering where to search for her daughter, just then an image of what she dreamt of last night tumbled through her mind making her fear to overwhelmed her, she then whisper a prayer deep inside her heart, still in search of her for almost half an hour and suddenly she saw a flame and fire, then a scream and voices a bit far away from her while some voices laughing. She became scared to death but that doesn’t stopped her from walking towards the sound of voices she heard and reaching where the flame and fire was coming from, hoping to see her daughter but to her surprise no one was there, the place is empty and she keeps on walking, then suddenly she stopped as if she was stabbed at the back due to the voice she heard at her back, her face turning backward slowly and then she turn completely in a fast mode, just for her to see someone standing in front of her that seems familiar. First, she study the person from toe top, putting on a flat shoe with long milky gown. “ Bella!” Lydia utter in surprise with her eyes widely open “ yes mum” Bella answered while she beamed a little “ Ooh my God…..” Lydia held her forehead before continuing, where have you been ? I have been searching for you all around but couldn’t found you, she utter worriedly, touching Bell's arms to see if she’s okay “am sorry mum” Bella held her two ears and then lean on her mum's chest resting her head. “ its okay” said Lydia with a relieved, putting her arm around her and running her hand over her daughter’s hair. After a while she glowed at the tall cute gentle guy standing beside her daughter which didn’t notice his presence till now, which she also study the guy from toe to top, he’s putting on shoes that covers his feet to top a bit, a black and ash outfit, broad shoulder, a beard with mustache on his face that made him more attractive and a bit full hair with blueish eyes. “ who is this Bella? ”Lydia ask “ oh! Sorry I’m mark” he butt in and Bella bolt a little. “uhmm… mum,…I …em… I was attacked earlier before you found me by a wild animal “WOLF “and this guy over here saved my life which I owe him, Bella explain to her mum hoping she won’t quarrel her. “ oh my goodness! Lydia exclaimed, thank you so much for saving my daughters life, my the lord bless you and keep you safe as well” Lydia prayed. “ Amen…. Its okay mam, its already late you guys should take your leave, its not safe in here” Mark gaze at Lydia with a warm smile “ Alright my dear, thank you” Lydia utter trying to take there leave “ And please do take good care of Bella” Mark utter with a smile on his face and wave them a little before taking his leave too. *** on there way back home Lydia begged Bella never to step her feet’s on that forest again but Bella seem to be stubborn. “ ohhh come on mum… don’t worry to much, besides you don’t have to be worried because I’m a full grow up now and I can take good care of myself” Bella grin and scratched her chin. “ don’t be stubborn young lady, if truly you can take good care of yourself, that young cool guy won’t have been there to save you” Lydia quarrel “ I was about to save myself when he appeared from nowhere” Bella trying to back up “ I said you are not stepping your feet’s on that forest any more and stop arguing with me… its not safe in there” Lydia a bit annoyed while Bella trying to be calm and walk along. Soon they arrived home safely “ Dammm…..I’m hungry, can i get something to eat before i die mum Bella rub her tummy, staring at her mum wondering what she would say. “ your food is inside, go get it yourself” Lydia utter without looking at her face. “ sure” Bella beam and walk in. Walking into the room slowly she began to think of the incidence that happens few hours ago “ wow…. He's a bit cool” the word escape her lips, still thinking of how he grabbed her wrist and pool her to his back, holding a pin knife which he use in defending her while the animal ‘Wolf” tried to attack her again by jumping over Bella and immediately, Mark grabbed her wrist again and pull her to his chest which happens in a slow motion and he threw the pin knife at the Wolf throat, while the Wolf escaped Bella was scared to death, shivering while Mark gaze at her, Bella rise her head from his chest a bit slowly, studying his broad chest with fear before finally looking up to see his face. Immediately their eyes meet she forget herself been scared, admiring his face, he's cute long face with beard and mustache, and he has a nice eyes brown, he's blueish eye with a full black long hair. He also admire her looks, she has a pointed nose with pink cute lips and brown eyes, she has a brownish long hair braid in French style. The sound of birds flying above them distracted them from their dreaming world and they bolted a bit fast from each other, Bella feel shy, unable to look into his eyes anymore and also trying to set her mood. “ Are you okay” Mark asked a bit worried “ yeah! I’m good, I’m okay and fine, thank you” she uttered looking downward. “ are you sure” he said again observing her look “ yeah sure” she looks up and their eyes meet again and she turn trying to part away. “ Don’t walk alone its too dangerous” He utter looking around the forest. “ okay” she said calmly and he walks toward her “ Dammm…that’s crazy” Bella ran her hand on her hair and smile a bit, shaking her head before going to pick up her food to eat and when she’s done, she went back to the room and off her clothes, she puts on her sleek faded short sleeping gown and lay down still thinking about the incident.” God!”… why do i keep on thinking about it? She asked herself without any reply, turning around the bed. Few minutes later, she jack up in surprise and fear due to the figure of something she saw by the window about thirty feet’s away where she could clearly see what the shadow looks like, he was certainly close enough that he could clearly see what Bella was doing inside. “ The windows are open” Bella move to the window side and her shadow overtakes the first one that even with her heightened sight she couldn’t make out any of the shadows features save for the height but the shadow stood there for just a moment beside the tree in front of the window, when Bella reach out to the window trying to see the shadow, Mark stepped backward and disappeared after making sure of Bell's safety while Bella shot the windows since she couldn’t see anything out there. Whatever the figure was Bella didn’t like it, she was so scared that she barely walked to the window to see what it was, she lean back to sleep and shut her eyes in the state of fear and sleep overtakes her. ****** Bella stood up and walk to the forest wondering around not knowing where she was heading to, she sight a wild animal from a far “ WOLF “ Bella utter frightenly and she start running, she keeps on running with all her strength and she could hear the number of them increase in number. She became more frighten, hoping not to be there prey. Another brownish Wolf appears from no were heading running towards her and it jump over her and attack the one’s at her back. Lydia woke up, a strand of long dark hair sticking to her forehead. Bella thrashing and screaming while Lydia bolted a bit, quickly crossing the few feet’s that’s between them. “ Bella” Lydia shake her a bit but no response and she continue “ Bella wakeup “ her scream dropped off and replaced by soft whimpers, “ WOLF “ she moan “ Ooh God” Lydia help her sit up “ Bella you aren’t there anymore wake-up” she keeps on trying to her up, after some few minutes, her eyes fluttery open and in the dim background Lydia could see a flicker of consciousness start to overtake her frantic breathing slowly. Bella lean on to her mum, resting her head against her shoulder. Lydia put an arm around her and ran her hand over her hair smoothly. “its okay…..its okay…..its okay my dear…..its over now, am here for you, don’t be scared anymore” Lydia trying to console her daughter “ I had a dream mum” Bella utter in a scary tone “ and its…..Lydia butt in “I know…I know…it’s a dream and nothing else”. They sat in that same position for several minutes without uttering a word to each other. She lean Bella over to the bed when she felt her emotion has calm down and cover her with blanket. She switch the lamp to glow dimly but neither of them really needed much to see by. ********
