Chapter one
An unknown figure drifted in the distance as it peered through an invisible barrier separating death and life. The land of the living is right on the other side of the invisible veil but the living remains oblivious that they are being stared at. They continue in their ongoing war, shedding blood in every direction. Innocent, guilty, young and old all fall prey to their cruel ways, unable to fight back, unable to defend themselves. Lost in the war and can't run. Trapped between the fighting of people they don't know. How are these people who are fighting so different from us? Why is it such a strong fight? The movements are so fluent and fast that everything happens in a blur. The clashing noises and falling bodies are all that made them aware of what is going on around them. The reason or origin of the war was unknown at the moment to all the mortals involved. This was a war between two rulers of a different world. Mortals are not supposed to witness this but like every antagonist, this one was no different. Starting a fight among innocent's was his way of affecting the other parties involved. The figure watched on in silence, very much aware of all that is going on. Aware of the insolence of these people. It watched the fight go on for hours, until one party weakened due to a spilt second of distraction. The figure did not care about the earthly happenings, neither was it affected. After hours, there was finally a champion. The tip of the sword pierced through it's opponents heart, ending a war that claimed thousands. The winner smirked in victory, but it was short-lived as he looked at his still moving opponent. She refused to die so easily. The woman used all her strength to whisper a few words. A wisp of smoke flew into the air and vanished. The woman smiled bloodily and in a fit of rage, the man stabbed her again. She fell lifelessly to the ground, her lips still curved in a b****y smile. The man was angry and immediately took to the air. Even in a life and death situation, the mortals were in awe. A wave hit the land shortly after, killing most of the people left in that area in one strike. A few persons remained, that didn't fall into the path of the direct attack. There were eleven persons left to be exact, from the entire area. Corpses littered the ground, faces stuck in awe, fear and shock. The bodies floated in a sea of blood and the survivors all gathered. The eleven of them could not believe that they alone survived, nor that the area was suddenly extremely quiet. They went among the bodies, searching for loved ones or any familiar faces. Everytime one was found, a sad cry would erupt from their lips. They began crying and sobbing, full grown adults reduced to kids in a moment of deep grief. What had any of them done? Why did they punish like this for something they don't even understand? The figure continued watching for a while longer before it drifted to a next invisible barrier. Another figure was already standing there, looking through at a changed scene. The setting was different and showed a small room containing an infant. The second figure spoke to the first. "It happened, her destiny is set and so are theirs. We can't allow the fate to be disrupted." "I know" "Let's watch" The door to the room flew open and a man stood in the doorway. He can be recognized as the man from earlier. The baby woke due to the hitting of the door. It turned to look at the man and appeared to be studying him. He was surprised that the child didn't cry. She was probably confused and too shocked to cry. He smirked and walked towards the crib. He looked at the infant and mockingly spoke to her. "Aren't you going to cry? I have killed everyone you know." the child looked at him in the same indifferent way and he spoke again. "Seems like you are not as smart as your parents. You do know I am here to kill you so why are you not trying to defend yourself." the infant did nothing and the man began to laugh. "Your mother tried, seems like she can save you no more" "It'll end here. Today I will kill the last decendant of Royal blood. There will be no heirs of your bloodline left" He raised his sword, about to bring it down on the baby's heart. A few inches away, he withdrew his sword. A smirk creeped up his face and he sheathed his sword. "I won't kill you with my sword, I'll show you who is stronger" A manical laughter erupted in the deadly silence of the night once again. The man faced his open palms toward the infant and sent a sudden wave of strong energy to her. The light hit her and for a moment, time froze. The man watch intently to see what will happen. She began to glow and all the energy gathered in her wrist. The man was shocked, since a baby wasn't supposed to absorb that strong amount of energy. It supposed to be too much. He quickly sent a second wave and then a third, hoping it will kill the child. The power continued to gather in her wrist and as he was about to send a fourth wave, the energy shot out of the baby's wrist and straight to his chest. He flew back but it wasn't enough to kill him due to his strength. The baby's wrist was slightly burnt where all the energy settled. The area would heal but the mark left by the energy exiting her body won't. The man sat up and looked at the baby. He tried to send energy to her again but realized he couldn't. The sudden supply of energy to him froze his energy. He had no other choice but to approach her with his sword. "You are one lucky thing. Your mother did manage to protect you, but she can't protect you from my blade" Sharp laughter cut the night like a blade, startling animals and birds. He raised his sword and in one swift movement brought it down straight towards the child's heart. A/N This is the first chapter. I will publish often. Hopefully you enjoyed reading it.
