Gianna

A time ago in the city of Bodija, there lived a very beautiful girl named Gianna, Gianna's childhood was the dream of every child especially because of her impeccable beauty and outstanding character. Her parents Mr. and Mrs. Smith were blessed with Gianna after seven years of being childless. Mrs. Smith went through a series of emotional trauma especially after two years of her marriage, people called her barren and some a witch but God was never asleep, despite her inability to bear a child, she remained good and took care of children in the neighborhood as if they were hers and often visited the motherless babies homes with lots of gifts. Her husband was no different, he was so generous and calm even with the little they had, people often wondered why God was yet to bless them with a child, but as I said God is no man, he comes when you feel all hopes are lost. In the eighth month of their marriage, Mrs. Smith got pregnant, at first, she thought it was a false symptom till she went for a pregnancy test and it was positive, their joy knew no bounds, Mr. Smith pampered his daughter till the day she was born. The nurses and doctors admired the beauty of this child, some took pictures while others would plead with her parents to carry her. All the wagging tongues stopped and they were all in shock when the news got to them. She was named Gianna meaning" God's grace" Gianna grew up to be a smart, wise, and hard-w**********l. Due to her intelligence, she was enrolled in school at the age of one. People were awed at how Gianna could talk properly at the age of one and also acted like an adult, in the terms of eating she preferred eating by herself than being spoon-fed and wouid sometimes recite the letters of the alphabet, though not all but most of them, these forced the parents to enroll her to the nearest nursery school. Her outstanding behavior and intelligence got noticed by the school, they did not seize to gift her at every end of the term. People far and wide came to see this beautiful girl everybody talked about, because of her influence her father's company got more investors, she was really a blessed child. At such a young age parents had started meeting the parents for a marriage agreement which they turned down politely. When Gianna got to primary five she was given a scholarship to study at the International School, Ibadan because of the high score she scored during her common entrance and first school-leaving examination. when the news got to the town, every family made sure to pay a visit, bringing their daughters to make friends with Gianna, she was not only beautiful but respectful, she never picked a fight or disrespected her elderly people and also taught the children around including her mates. Despite all the girls introduced to her made friends with Aana and Aaria, the twins in the neighborhood, they attended the same nursery and primary, so they got to be friends when they had sleepovers and also helped her with house chores if help was needed. Luckily they got into the same International School, Ibadan though not through a scholarship but through an exam which was very difficult to pass, the parents of Aana and Aaria thanked Gianna for the help she rendered in getting their daughters ready for the exam. During the holidays, Mr. and Mrs. Smith started preparing for her secondary education since she was going to be a boarder, they wanted her to learn how to survive independently, and so did Aana and Aaria's parents, they made sure to pick the same room as Gianna's, she was a good influence to them and they didn't want to lose it. Gianna was so happy to attend the same school with her friends at least she won't be alone. Mrs. Smith made sure to buy all the requirements needed for school, and lots of provisions too, she knew her daughter had a good heart and would go hungry to feed others, so she made sure to double each cereal and beverage, they neighbors also contributed despite the refusal of Gianna's parents, they were proud of her. Mrs. Smith decided to open a supermarket since she won't be busy with Gianna anymore, and didn't want to feel lonely when her husband leaves for work. in less than a week the shop was opened, it was flooded with customers especially when Gianna came to shop to help her mum. They loved the way she attended to them, unlike the sales girls that got easily irritated when stressed but Gianna never complained even if a customer requested more things and ended up returning them, she would just smile. Some of the Customers tried to cheat but Gianna was too smart for that, she needed to calculator to sum the prices, it shocked them whenever she looked at the prices and told them the total, some left in shame while the others apologized for trying to cheat her, the other good customers always left their balance behind even when Gia insisted the take it, but since she couldn't stop them from giving her gifts, she tried as much as possible to thank them and show the money or gifts to her parents. During this long break Mr. and Mrs. Smith took turns in taking her to the supermarket and the company, her father's workers loved her so much, she assisted in cleaning even when the cleaner was there and also sat close to the receptionist to learn new things from her, Gianna loved learning new things. Her good behavior didn't stop at home or school it was also noticed in the church, she grew up in the way of the Lord and was the Sunday School captain, she taught her colleagues and also preached for them, she was able to join the choir at the age of six because of her melodious voice, like what's there not to like about this young girl.
