He sorted through the papers on his desk from the interviews he’d done in North Carolina and arranged the ones he thought pertinent.
There was a knock on his door. Bill entered as soon as Wendell called out.
“I found something you need to see,” Bill started as he laid papers on Wendell’s desk. “We almost missed it.”
He pointed to a listing of a sale of a property.
“It’s a large warehouse that had sold a month before Hernandez’s release from prison. “It was sold to a company named ‘Rache Unlimited.’ We never thought to question it until Alden saw the name.”
“What’s with the name?” Wendell asked as he examined the papers.
“Rache isn’t a family name. It’s German for ‘revenge.’
“Holy s**t!” Wendell exclaimed. He looked at his watch.
