Prologue
Ajax sighed as he stepped into the hospital gardens. He could not understand why his family was turning out this way. Tears fell from his eyes as nausea rolled through him. He wondered why his sister, who had so much ahead of her, made continuous bad decisions and claimed her life would still go as planned. She just graduated from university a few weeks ago, and now she is here in the hospital giving birth to her second set of triplets. She had her first set of triplets when she was fifteen. They were all boys. Her boyfriend, Brain O'Connor, was the father of the children. He was there throughout the childhood of the boys. Now Daphne, my sister, is bringing three more children into our lives, and he wants nothing to do with it.
Worry fills Ajax's heart as he listens to the footsteps that stop behind him; he does not want to step back into the hospital because once he did, he would have to find a way to move forward with the new additions to the Florakis family. He jerked forward as warmth filled his palm and travelled straight to his heart. Ajax glanced at the space that was filled beside him, his grandma stood there and the warmth in her eyes spoke all the truth he needed. He realized everything was going to be alright as he gazed at his grandmother, remembering that whenever something goes wrong she always says to never forget that, Florakis always blooms no matter what.

The next morning, Ajax felt an adrenaline rush, as he thought of his three nieces, forgetting the anxiety and nausea he felt the previous day. His grandma had been the one to give the boys' names. She gave them Greek names, so they would never forget their roots. She named them Janus, Yiannis and Hector. The short talk he and his nephews had with his sister last night proved his thoughts. His grandmother had done it again. She gave the girls Greek names; Agnes, Irene and Aniela.
"Boys," Ajax yelled. "It's time for us to go to the hospital".
Hearing no response, he turned to look at the children, feeling his excitement dwindle. He knew the boy's father left the picture a few weeks ago, so seeing the frowns on Janus and Yiannes' faces let him understand that they were scared and sad. Ajax stepped towards them to reassure them that everything would be alright, but a gentle touch on his thigh stopped his actions, the smile on little Hector's face as he held his leg made him realize the arrival of their little sisters into the world would make them smile again. The thought of everything going well and as planned caused excitement to pool in his veins. Ajax wanted to be in the hospital faster now. This was not only because of nieces, he couldn't wait to see his little nephews smile brightly like they used to. The Florakis family is growing...
