Iris has never really had a good relationship with her mother. Since eleven years of age, she made it a top priority to never turn into the bitter, unloving, mean, and spiteful woman that her mother had been throughout Iris's entire life. After receiving a full scholarship to college and later focusing on her career, her mother became practically nonexistent in her life. Seven years had gone by, and Iris had not tried once to contact her. On a long-awaited night off Iris goes out for a lady's nightcap with her girls and while in a drunken stupor, they walk into a mysterious candlelit chamber, supposedly that of self-proclaimed fortune-teller who shares with them insane advice, and wild stories about their futures. The next morning, strange things start to take place; things she can't explain. Within a matter of days, Iris starts to experience changes within her physical appearance and even starts to develop minor pains and a feeling of weakness. Something is beyond "not right" Something is wrong, and all signs pointed to a disaster happening slowly but surely. Then out of the blue, she receives a call from an unfamiliar man claiming to be her mother's husband. He tells Iris that her mother is bedridden and not doing very well at all. She agrees to take time off, and head home. Little does she know, things are about to get so much crazier than she could ever imagine.
