Chapter 7: Mating Announcement Pt2

Amelia's POV

As soon as we got back to mom and dads house I was swept away by the gorgeous decorations and the twinkling lights they had set up for our announcement.

"Come love, we gotta get you in your dress." Mom said.

We walked inside and went up to mom's room to get ready.

I got dressed while Mom and Kelsey helped me do my hair in simple elegant curls and simple tan colors for my make-up.

There was a knock at the door and in walked my father.

"Oh, you look beautiful sweetheart." Dad said as he kissed my mom on the cheek.

"Thank you honey." She replied.

"Not you, our daughter. You know I always think your beautiful." he said with a chuckle.

"Thanks dad." I said with a chuckle of my own.

"Any who its time to go downstairs everyone is waiting for you." Dad said waving to the door.

I took a deep breath feeling the air in my lungs and said "Okay, I'm ready."

We walked out the door and linked arms as I heard my mate speaking to the pack.

"Hello, I called you all here to make a very important announcement. I have found my mate." He said.

There was hoops and hollers through out the whole pack. Whispers about who the next queen will be.

He raised his hand and then said, "Amelia would you please join me on the stage?" 

I made my way to the stage with my heart hammering out of my chest in anxiousness. When I got to the stage I was greeted with a smile on my mates face.

"You all know Amelia? Well she is my mate. We are not of biological relation and the goddess has chosen to pair us together." Anthony said with a sense of pride that filled my heart with joy. 

At first there was objections from people of our age that didn't know I was adopted and it continued until one of the elders came up to the podeum to speak.

"I am Elder Joseph, what they say is true. We approved the adoption long ago. And we approve of this Mating. If anyone objects you can be rouges and not be welcome in this kingdom." He said with a sense of wisdom to his voice.
