Normally, the morning of a bride’s wedding day is a time to be joyous. When she gets up, smiling gloriously at the magical time ahead of her, she knows the rest of her life is about to begin. Her best friends are there with her, before running off to have their nails, makeup, and hair done. Then they return, slip the bride into her enchanting wedding dress before she walks down the aisle to her waiting husband-to-be, all while knowing she made that decision for herself. That she’s chosen her own future and is literally striding down the aisle toward it. One kiss and two vows later, they live happily ever after. That isn’t me, nor will it be.
