***Emily's Point of View***
After what I found out about my parents, I went digging for the truth. I had a little help from a hacker to hack into the government's records what we discovered changed my view on the world. I hadn't been kidn*pped but placed into the hands of two CIA agents who were to shelter me from my real parents. The reason my parents were the worst of the worst. They were gangsters out on a havoc spree. They were known as Harley Quinn and Joker. Although they had, had a rough relationship they made it work. When Harley, well my mom was pregnant with me, they decided to leave their criminal lives behind. I know it sounds cliché but they really had tried to be good until their enemies tracked them down.
With the government against them and the "bad side" they had no where left to hide or to run to. That's when the CIA moved in and took me captive as a way to get to my parents. What they hadn't expected was that my parents changed. They became model citizens and yet still tried to get me back.
It took me a while to adapt to the new information but just like my dad suggested I calmly thought everything through and when I was ready I went to talk to them.
My mom was happy that I had managed to come to terms with everything. My dad seemed happy but he warned me that they still had enemies and that they had made new ones when they finally attacked the CIA agents. Which could put me in potential danger since everyone of their enemies knew it was them that attacked the house and had figured out my true identity.
"Emily, we have a suggestion but only if you are up to it... If you come to live with us we can protect you but as long as you live with Mr. Blake we can't promise you or them safety," my dad had said. I only had one option and that was move in with my parents. I can't put Nico or Uncle Ferdinand in danger just because I was afraid of trusting the people in front of me.
Thus the change would come at the end of this week, on my graduation. I would move in with my parents and they'll train me to look after myself. How hard could it be? Learn basic self-defense and then learn how to shoot a firearm. Easy as pi, right?
