Chapter 02: THE ONE WHO HE FAVORS

“Miss, sigurado po ba kayo na kakayanin niyo ang training?” - Alice, my maid, asked for the nth time.

“If Linox can do it, so do I” - nakangiti kong saad at kitang-kita ko ang nerbyos sa kanyang mukha dahil sa salamin na nasa aming harapan.

Inaayusan niya ako para sa pagsasanay na kakaharapin ko. Anong klaseng pagsasanay? It’s just a sword training.

By the way, my name is Eclipse Raeliana Wynknight, I’m currently eleven years old, however my mind and soul is of a thirty-eight year old woman. Why? Because I died at the age of twenty-six, well technically I was turning twenty-seven and fortunately I was reborn and when I turned six I remembered all the memories of my past life.

Especially the part when that damned debt collector asked me if I regret anything in my life and I answered that I wish the villainess of the novel, The One He Favors lives a long life because she is pitiful and she regretted a lot of things when she was executed.

And unfortunately, I became that freakin character on that novel! Yes! I became the villainess who is not really the villainess!

Like damn! If only I realized it sooner I should have answered his question differently. However, why did he choose to make me reincarnate to a damn novel?! Is he really serious?!

Never mind. It’s already been five years and I already accepted the fact that I reincarnated in a novel BUT I did not and will not accept my fate to die! Hell No!

And because I plan to living a nice long life here without any damn regrets unlike the original character. When I was seven I started recalling at the things that happened in the novel I read. I listed them in a few papers back then and I memorized it then I burned the pieces of paper. Since it is possible that either Alice or my brother may get their hands on that and be suspicious.

I forgot. In this world I have a brother. Well, isang taon lang naman ang tanda niya saakin and his name is Linox Rafael Wynknight. Kahit na twelve palang siya ay kinikilala na siya sa galing niya sa pag gamit ng mahika at espada. And yes, in this world magic is present.

Alice is my one and only trusted maid. She has been with me since I was born in this world. Although she is my maid she is also a knight and she protected me many times already from assassins.

Why are there assassins? Because me and my brother are considered to be the princess and prince of our own kingdom. Actually, there are five continents in this world and each continent has it’s own kingdom with their own sets of nobles.

The Wynknight territory or the White Kingdom belongs to our family. We are the northern continent where almost half a year is winter, two months summer, two months spring and two months autumn.

The Savier territory or the Sand Kingdom. They are the eastern continent and just like their other name 1/4 of that continent is full of sand, however the surrounding area are full of minerals that’s why that kingdom did not perish throughout time.

The Hyperion territory or the Sea Kingdom located on the middle of the waters which is the southern continent. Despite having a large body of water around them, that actually became their advantage

The Belios territory or the Green Kingdom which is the western part of the continent. There is nothing much here except that this place is full of trees and greens. Some say that elves used to live on that place.

Lastly, the Castello territory or the Empire. That is located on the center of the five continents. The Empire has all the resources, the Empire itself couldn’t ask for more. However trades do happen between the five continents to ensure that each continent will have their gains. Let’s say that the Empire is the main kingdom and it has the highest authority.

That authority is actually said to be given by the great dragon and because of that legend they have given the authority to remove a royal family of another continent if they see them as a trash. However, it just once happened and it was decades ago already. The five continents are strengthening the peace between them and all the continents are of course busy in dealing their own problems regarding their own nobles.

And of course each continent has their own sets of mages, knights etc. And oh did I already said that marriage between a royal between continents are still forbidden? I guess I did not but that law will be abolished when the male lead fell in love with the annoying female lead.

*knock*knock*

“Rae, can I come in?” - my brother, Linox asked through telepathy. Telepathy is a rare ability and it is commonly observed through twins. But even though we are not twins we can freely communicate with the use of our minds.

Since it is quite uncommon only our family knows about this and of course Alice and my brother’s own knight sir Ashton which is Alice’s older brother. Also, we have no such ability as mind reading. And even if my brother has, I already learned how to counter that kind of thing.

“Sure, brother” - I replied and the door of my room immediately opened and with the use of the mirror I saw my brother’s look.

He is dressed up neatly like a knight would actually look.

“Are you really sure that you are going to train with me Rae?” - he asked which made me roll my eyes. If only I could tell him that I am not originally from this world and I already know what will happen in the coming years then he too will allow me to train.

“*sigh* Ash, Alice, leave us for a minute” - my brother ordered and the two immediately left without even saying ‘goodbye’

Of course that is only natural in this world.

“I guess I won’t be able to stop you from wielding a deadly weapon” - he said which made me heave a sigh.

“Brother, pwede bang tumigil ka na sa pagdra-drama mo? It’s not like that I will not have to kill anyway. Alam mo naman na maraming gustong pumatay saakin and being able to learn how to wield a sword will able to protect me” - seryoso kong saad at kitang kita ko ang pag-ikot din ng kanyang mata.

“Fine. By the way how’s your summoning?” - he asked as he sat down on my bed which made me once again frown. Talagang gawain niya na ang umupo sa kama ko tsk. He could have just pulled a chair. *sigh*

“It’s going smoothly, I think I may be able to summon a spirit already next month” - I replied.

The royal family of the Wynknight has a strong bond with spirits. If the Empire has the blessings of the dragon then our kingdom has the blessings of different spirits. And there is a 0.01 percent chance that a child, who can summon spirits is born.

And I am that that 0.01 percent. My brother can only use magic and cannot summon while I am the opposite, I can only summon and I cannot use magic though both are almost the same.

Our parents does not know that I am a summoner yet. Only brother knows that fact. Dad said that maybe I was able to get half of my mother’s ability which being a cleric that’s why I cannot use magic. Brother on the other hand was able to use fire magic when he was seven, his magic is strong since both mom and dad are powerful mages as well. My brother’s strength is comparable to the Empire’s children.

And me? Let’s say that I am the rarest human being and maybe at the top of the food chain that’s why there are a lot of assholes who wants me killed because they are taking precautionary measures. Masadyo kasi silang advance mag-isip tsk yan tuloy andami na nilang nasayang na pera since hindi naman nila ako mapatay-patay.

“Just don’t be reckless” - seryoso niyang saad dahilan para mapangiwi ako. To translate what he said it means that

“Don’t do your summoning publicly, don’t use weird things, do your magic circle properly, always inform me before hand, and lastly don’t be stupid”

“Argh tara na nga!” - I groaned at agad kong hinablot ang kanyang kamay at tska ko siya hinila palabas ng aking kwarto.

This novel is really making me stressed out! Tsk kung hindi ko lang gustong mabuhay hindi ko gagawin ang lahat ng ito.

Damn I just hope that the first prince who is the freakin male lead will still not freakin favor me because I plan on staying freakin away from him!
