Chapter 5“Ricky?”
Amazement overwhelmed me when I looked up to see the police officer who’d climbed out of the patrol car on the other side of the street.
Officer Drake crossed the street and as he drew closer, I saw the recognition light on his face.
“Miss Middleton?” He looked shocked for only a moment and I was suddenly dying of embarrassment as I realised I was in my pajamas, covered in ash, in front of two of the hottest guys on the planet.
“Do you think I have a case now?” I scowled up at him, determined not to let his good looks get to me.
“Are you telling me that Mr. Grey did this?” Officer Drake gaped at the remains of my house as though he couldn’t believe it.
“Yes, and maybe if you’d taken my request more seriously I might still have a roof over my head right now!” I snapp
