Some of the waiters who appeared to be wearing black and white suits looked at Diego in surprise. Some of them were whispering about Antonella's son-in-law. They must have recognized Diego, not expecting him to have the nerve to come over.
Diego looked at the waiters' suits and thought about wearing one of them. He thought it was a better outfit than the one he was wearing. At least the trousers, they were more formal to wear for the party. So he chose to take one of the suits and wear it.
Diego was even lucky enough to find a suit and tie. Dressed like that, it was like he was Diego Giordano all over again.
Carrying the paper bag from the sale, Diego walked confidently into the living room. He had deliberately kept appearing from the back, but even so, his presence was still on everyone's lips. Some of them immediately whispered when they saw Diego coming.
Eliza was the first to realize Diego's presence would be very disturbing. She immediately approached the man who had been her son-in-law for the past 7 months. Arrogantly, she immediately dragged Diego to the edge.
"Hey smelly guy, what are you doing here? Do you want to embarrass me? And what's this? Whose suit are you wearing?" Cursing Eliza in a low voice, her hand while pulling Diego's suit disgustedly, Not wanting to be the center of everyone's attention, Eliza was angry in a half-whispered voice.
"I just wanted to come to Mrs. Selina's party, and give her a gift, is that wrong? I have bought her a gift just like you wanted," Diego replied.
"The youngest son-in-law came to give a gift, why not a welcome?" Suddenly a voice startled everyone.
It was Black Antonella. Jacky Antonella, Brown Antonella's brother, Luna's father.
"Jacky, what are you doing?" Suddenly Selina Antonella approached and realized Jacky's intentions.
"Oh it turns out the youngest son-in-law came. Should I call him a son-in-law? I've been dying to cross him off my family list. How come the three of them are here? Hey where's the other one?" Seline asked.
Seline never liked Eliza. Especially when she found out Brown Antonella had left her. She wanted to kick Eliza out, but Celine couldn't do it. So she was forced to keep that woman. Until waiting for the right time.
"What are you holding, stinky?" Jacky asked when she realized Diego had something in his hand.
Eliza looked very upset when she realized Diego was still holding the paper bag. Jacky even went over and snatched the paper bag from Diego's hand.
"Wow, it's amazing. This smelly guy is desperate to give a gift to his grandmother. Come on mom, open it and let's see what he got you," Jacky said, already knowing this was a laughing stock for them tonight.
Seline seemed to allow Jacky to open it. He tore open the wrapper and saw inside the bag Diego had bought at the market earlier.
"What is this bag? It smells as bad as your body, Diego. Is it appropriate for Mrs. Antonella to use?" Jacky mocked and threw the bag at Diego's feet.
"Stuff from the trash you're going to give me? You're really out of line! What are you coming to my party for? Are you guys going to get a bite to eat?" mocked Selina.
Diego just looked at the bag that was already in front of his eyes. He looked at the two people who continued to insult him and his mother-in-law. Luckily, Luna was nowhere near them.
Diego just pretended not to hear the insults that kept coming out of the two people. This incident became a spectacle and became a byword. Although Antonella's family wasn't the only ones present, taunting these two people was a regular occurrence. There was no stopping them.
Diego was about to bend down to pick up the bag he'd worked so hard to buy today. But a foot suddenly stepped on it and crushed the bag. Diego turned his head and realized the face he didn't want to see was in front of him holding Luna's hand.
"What's all the commotion about? I thought this was a party, not a scene, didn't I?" Hayden's voice, seemingly booming, stopped the commotion.
Luna quickly approached her mother who was already red in the eyes. Luna realized that her grandmother and uncle had just insulted her mother. She hugged her and calmed her down. Not telling her mother to shed her tears. Luna whispered.
"Mom Calm down, don't cry anymore. I've decided tonight. I'm going to be with Hayden mom. You met him earlier and he will help me. I no longer have to fear the Thaw family, let alone accept Ziam's invitation. I'm going to stop this, Mom. " Luna whispered into Eliza's ear, but heard quite clearly in the ear of Diego who was beside her.
"What, Hayden? Why does it have to be him? There are so many other men's names in this world. Why does it have to be Hayden, Luna?" Diego asked loudly enough to stop the attention between Jacky, Seline and Hayden.
"What's wrong, Hayden? He's the young master of the Giordano group. I think he still has power. And they're certainly better than everything about you, Diego. So what's wrong with Luna choosing him?" Selina cut in quickly.
Diego remained silent while his eyes looked at Hayden who was smiling triumphantly. Luckily for Hayden as he was about to go inside, he bumped into Luna.
