Crazy Feelings

I was wide awake at 7:10am I laid in bed looking up the ceiling I kept thinking about last night what if  Anna did try to get with him? what if she ruins our friendship? I kept thinking. I let out a sigh and got out of bed Jess was still sound asleep with her back turned to me. I went to wash up and head upstairs to make some toast with peanut butter I sat at the island in the kitchen I didn't even hear Jess walk behind me "Morning" she said making me jump "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. You okay?" she said helping her self to something to eat "Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking" I replied taking the last bite of my toast "Don't worry about it Sam, if you want we can ask Nathan about her tonight" Jess said giving me a small smile to make me feel better "Yeah, I think I will talk to Nathan" I said returning the smile. Jess made her self some toast with cheese whiz I sat with her in the kitchen while she ate, we made some coffee and went back downstairs to finish homework since I won't have time tomorrow since I will be gone with mom. I decided to do my laundry while we did homework.

We finished our homework, it was now 11:30am I texted Lucas

Hey, what time did you want us to go over at?

Hey, it don't matter the guys just left to go home for a bit you can swing by anytime this afternoon, we can all hangout for the day if you want

I looked at Jess who was texting Austin "Lucas asked if we wanted to go hangout at his place for the day" I said to her "Yeah, I'm down. Austin spent the night there last night he's showering he said he will come pick us up" she said. "Yeah, tell him to come over in about a half hour so we can get ready" I replied "Okay" she replied smiling.

Yes, Austin is coming to pick us up in a half hour, we are going to get ready see you soon

Jess and I jumped in the shower, I let her use my bathroom, and I used the upstairs bathroom I picked out an orange and white bench t shirt that tied up the sides of the shirt, and medium blue jeans I went back downstairs to my bedroom to do my hair Jess was already dressed she picked a long white t shirt that had a brown belt attached with dark brown leggings to match she had her hair tied up in high ponytail, I decided to let my hair to air dry, but kept an elastic on my wrist. Austin walked into my bedroom as we were in my closet picking out our shoes Jess and I had the same foot size Jess went with high top brown boots, I decided on white and black skate shoes "Hey girls" Austin said sitting on my bed. Jess walked over and sat on his lap giving him a kiss "So, what happened last night you both left early?" Austin said giving Jess a look I let out a sigh "Had something weird happen" I reply making Jess give me a look Austin looked concerned "A girl in some of Sam's classes started asking her about Zack" Jess said looking at him "What really, who?" Austin asked looking shocked "Anna" she replied "The girl Nathan dated last year?" he asked "Yup" I replied making Austin turn my way "She's not his type, but I'm honestly surprised she's interested in him" he said seeing how this conversation bothered me. "Hey, let's go Luc is waiting for us" he said changing the subject. We all got in Austin's car, I got in the back my phone went off just as we pulled out of my driveway it was Zack

Hey, how is your day going so far? I'm spending some alone time with Blake, mom went shopping.

Hey, that's nice :). Not too much here, Austin just picked up Jess and I we are headed to Lucas's for the day.

Oh nice, have fun.

"Is that Lucas texting?" Jess asked. "No, it was Zack" I said looking up at her smiling. She smiled back at me making me feel better.

We got to Lucas's house, he was waiting for us on his front step "Hey guys, Nathan should be here soon" he said walking into his house we followed him to the kitchen "Help yourselves to something to drink or eat" he adds grabbing a beer from the fridge I grabbed a bottle of water and lean on the counter "Is everything alright, you seem off?" Lucas asked me looking concerned "I'm okay" I replied  giving a smile, which he returned. Jess and Austin were sitting at the kitchen table talking. Nathan walked into the kitchen "Hey guys, I brought more beer for tonight, I didn't know what the girls wanted so got palm bay key lime cherry coolers" he said putting a bag, and a case of beer on the counter. His brother was 20, so he got the alcohol for him. "Thanks" I said I liking his choice of cooler. "So, what's the plan til tonight?" Nathan asked. Lucas looked at me "Any ideas?"  "Um, we can play video games?" I reply Nathan looked at me wide eyed "I like this girl, let's go" he said already making his way downstairs, Lucas and I behind him. Jess and Austin were putting the alcohol in the fridge, and coming behind us. We decided to play some Mario kart on the switch Jess and Austin skipped out and were playing some pool in the corner we did random 32 races, Lucas beat both Nathan and I, he came in 1st, Nathan 3rd, and I was in 7th I didn't care I was having fun. "Who's hungry? we can make a BBQ before people start getting here" Lucas asked. We all went upstairs to eat some hot dogs.

We all talked and laughed while we ate, Lucas did a really good job working the BBQ. We cleaned up, and not long after people started showing up. Lucas put music on his big stereo system in the living room before we knew it there was a good 30 people in his house Jess was already having a drink having a good time I decided to join her.

I already had 4 coolers and was feeling really buzzed, Lucas noticed and was keeping an eye on me "You doing okay?" he asked as I went to use the bathroom he was waiting for me outside the bathroom door. "Yes, I'm feeling great" I replied leaning against the wall smiling at him. "You can use my bed if you need to lay down for a bit" he said. "You'd like that wouldn't you?" I said more bluntly then intended, a little embarrassed he said "No, I'm just looking out for you Sammy, I know you're not much of a drinker"  I nod my head and let him lead me to his bedroom "I can leave you alone for a bit" he said  as I sat on his bed "No, you can stay if you want" I said looking at him, he nods and sits next to me. I let out a sigh "I needed this to get my mind off Anna" I blurted out he looked at me looking confused "What happened?" he asked. "She was at the club last night, and was getting to me asking about Zack, I got a feeling she's going to try and come between our friendship" I said looking down at my feet "Don't worry about her, she's crazy" he said rubbing my back which helped me fight back tears "Nathan broke up with her last spring they were only together 4 months, she was trying to control what he was doing, meanwhile she was out partying and flirting with other guys, it got back to Nathan, I'm sure Zack would be smart enough to stay away from her" he adds moving hair from out of my face. I don't know if it was alcohol, but his touch made me want to do something stupid, I made eye contact and we locked eyes, just as I wanted to move closer, Jess walked into the bedroom making me snap out of it "Oh, here you are. I was getting worried" she said looking like she realized she was interrupted something "Sorry, I'll go back downstairs" she said turning to walk out "No, it's okay I was just making sure she was alright, you can take over I should go make sure everything is still good downstairs" he said getting off the bed, and walking out of the bedroom. Jess walks over and sits next to me "What did I walk into?" she asked giving me a look "Nothing"I said quick not looking at her "Didn't look like nothing Sam, are you into Lucas?" she asked but I could tell she was smiling without even looking at her I shake my head no, but the feeling in my stomach was telling me otherwise. "It's okay if you are, I think it's pretty obvious he likes you. He's trying to hide it but I seen the way he looks at you" she said putting her arm around me " come on, let's go back downstairs you can stick to water for the rest of the night" she adds pulling me by the arm out of the bedroom.

Back downstairs I seen Nathan was standing at the bottom of the stairs talking to Austin "Hey, can I talk to you for a second?" I asked "Yeah, sure" Nathan replied we walked to the kitchen where it was a little quieter we both sat at the table "What's up?" he asked. I let out a small sigh "I know this may come off a little odd, but what kind of person is Anna?" I asked I could tell by bringing up her name made him feel uncomfortable "Well, she's messed up in the head, I wouldn't recommend being her friend" he replied."I'm not, but she seems to be interested in Zack" I said putting my hair up in a messy ponytail. My response made Nathan laugh "Don't worry, she won't be interested long" he replied which made me feel a little better. "Thanks" I said getting up from the table I grabbed some water from the fridge and made my way to the living room Lucas was sitting on the couch talking to a girl with long black hair I didn't recognize, he seen me standing there, he got up and walked over to me "Feeling any better?" he asked "Yeah, thanks" I said giving him a smile. I then realized Austin drove us here, and he was drinking, Lucas must have seen the panic on my face "Hey, you alright?" he asked. "Um, how am I getting home?" I asked "Well, you could stay here, I'll drive you home in the morning?" he said " It would have to be really early, I have to beat my parents home" I said shocked at the fact I agreed to stay the night at his place. He gave me a smile "No problem" I'll kick everyone out soon"  it was 10:40pm.

Within the hour, everyone had left there was only Nathan, Jess, Austin who disappeared into the spare bedroom 20 minutes ago the girl with the long black hair, Lucas and I. Lucas introduced me to her "Amy, this is Sam, Sam this is my cousin Amy" hearing him say cousin made me feel at ease. She smiled at me "I heard good things about you, but I'll save that for another day" she said shaking my hand I returned the smile "Yes, we should hangout sometime" I replied. I was already feeling pretty tired, I made my way upstairs to Lucas's bed, and fell asleep.
