I live in 2 worlds, one is real and one is not. I exist in this world—in reality— and in dreams. Dreams and reality are meant to be separated. The human mind alters dreams and erases most or more likely, all of it to prevent us—I mean them—from mistaking dreams to reality.

Cliché as it may sound, but living in dreams is better than living in reality. In dreams, I have friends. I'm not a nobody. In dreams, you know me. While living in reality is like living with a curse of knowing almost everything about you yet, I'm just A STRANGER TO YOU.

"Daaaa!" I closed my eyes in irritation and tilted my head hoping it would cool down a bit. I always hated that endearment.  "What is it Stacy?" I turned around and gave her a blunt look. I'm not even surprised to see her covered with ketchup but it's kind of disappointing. I glanced at Vicky and the other girls who I forgot the names of. Too many to remember. I can't believe these fools, this is too simple. I was expecting more drama. I shook my head at them. I turned back to Stacy and eyed her from head to toe, she looks hot even with ketchup all over her but I'm done with it. You know what? She doesn't look that hot anymore. I sighed. I should probably do something. "They did this to you?" I asked her. She tried to make herself adorable while pouting her thick lips and nodding her head up and down. How pitiful. I brought my sight back to Vicky and others. "Where's the ketchup?" I firmly asked. Vicky looked surprised and terrified at the same time. She probably didn't expect my actions, well who would? I went closer to them and Vicky hurriedly told her backups to give me the ketchup. I shook my head and tried not to laugh. They got it all wrong. I went back to Stacy who's now looking at me with dreamy eyes, obviously touched about what she thinks I'm about to do but she got it all wrong too. Don't get your hopes up. "I have always thought red looks good on you." I gave her my sweetest smile and squirted more ketchup all over her. The room was filled with "Ohhh," and "Oh My Gosh." I can't help but smile. "Let's break up." I told her, still smiling. She was about to say something but I raised my hand to stop her. This guy probably thinks I didn't notice him. "Wait, someone also wants my attention." I threw the ketchup bottle to someone who is currently filming and it directly hit his phone. "Don't try to make yourself famous with my scene." I scoffed. "That's embarrassing on your part." "I-I'm sorry." He stuttered. Pathetic. I think this is where I should turn around and leave. I sighed and did what I thought.  "Da!" I stopped and closed my eyes, damn that cringed. "I never liked that endearment." With that I continued walking away from them.     ***   "What happened this time?" Nathan asked pertaining about the scene I caused earlier. I pretended to think for awhile. "Nothing much." We're currently here sitting on a bench inside the campus and Nathan is being Nathan again. I was expecting to have some peace here but then him and Daniel joined and turned my expectation to reality.  "Dude!" He screamed in front of my face. I'm seriously going to think his gay any days now. I pushed his face away from mine. "Ow!" "What do you want? And no, I don't want to skip class with you." "Come on, Kai. Mr. Jones is coming with us." I scoffed and looked at Daniel. "I changed my mind." He coldly said which made me chuckle. "Daniel Steve! I said no changing minds. You guys are such bad friends!"  "Well, you're a bad influence." I said. "Me? I'm making your boring lives worthy to be lived, you should feel lucky to have a friend like me." "Just stay with Mr. Jones. You talk too much." "You guys are going to regret not wagging today and I will regret not wagging by myself." I rose up from the bench. "Let's go?" Nathan's eyes instantly turned bright. "To class." His face went back to gloomy again but he still stood up followed by Daniel. I just shook my head. Everyone's looking at us while we're walking in the corridor. My, I must really look good today. "You guys are really lucky to have a dashing friend like me. People notice you too." Nathan bragged while smiling from ear to ear. I heard Daniel scoffed which made Nathan look at him. "Do you have something to say Mr. Jones?" "Oh, yeah. I'm glad I have a dashing friend."  "Why does it always sound insulting when he says it." He whispered to me.  We arrived at our classroom and I went inside first. My brows furrowed seeing someone sitting on my seat. Who the heck is she? I stood beside her but she seemed to not notice me. I haven't seen her here before. Is she a transfer student? "Ehem," I faked a cough but she still didn't notice me. She's just sitting there staring at something. I tried to see what she's looking at and it's...a door. She's staring at a door but she didn't notice me come in? She's creepy. I didn't even see her blink. What's so interesting about a door? She's odd. "Excuse me, I've been standing here for minutes now." She finally looked at me. "Then, sit down." Her voice is so warm but it sends me chills and her eyes, it looks so dull and nothing. It looks nothing like a blank paper or clear water. It doesn't tell me anything. Most eyes that stare at me always look bright and obviously fond of sighting me  but hers looks uninterested. She stood up and went outside. Who is she? "Looks like Stacy is coming for you now, Mr. Jones." Nathan laughed not caring about Daniel giving him a death glare. He sat next to me while Nathan is still laughing and talking about Stacy who now seems to be Daniel's problem.  "Seriously, your ex has no self-respect." "Hey! She's not my ex and I never had one." I never even courted her in the first place she just assumed that we were a thing. So, I just went on with it. Every girl is always like that anyway. "Yeah, whatever." "You can have her, she may be annoying but she can satisfy you." I smirked. "I am never going to have s*x with a girl who devalues her own dignity." He seriously said. There he goes again with his opinions. Among the three of us Daniel has always been the nice guy. He is very chivalrous and responsible. Our opinions mostly contradict each other and Nathan is our peace maker but mostly he brings more nuisance than peace. While I'm the real dashing guy among us three. "Whatever," I just said.  "Daniel, you can always be honest with us about yourself. We accept you even if you're gay." "Shut up Nathan." “Come on, dude. I’ve never seen you dated anyone before. Tell me what kind of girl you like. I’ll set someone up for you.” He winked but Daniel paid no attention. “Do you prefer quiet girls? Innocent one? Mysterious? Outgoing? Funny?” Quiet and mysterious, that reminds me of the girl who sat here a while ago. "Do we have a transferee?" I asked. "I just saw a girl sitting here on my seat earlier. I don't think I've seen her before." "Ooh, looks like you found a new target." Nathan teased. "I don't think we have one. it's very unlikely for someone to transfer in the middle of second semester." He's right.    The girl I saw in our classroom has been lingering on my mind since I saw her. I couldn't even pay much attention to all the discussions because of her. My curiosity is boiling and I badly want answers. That's what bothers me most. I've never been interested in knowing anyone before. I just can't forget her eyes and how it looked at me, it looked so dull and I don't know....I don't know why I'm bothered. This is so unlike me. Who is she? "Let's go?" Nathan asked. Daniel grabbed his bag and stood up. What? "Do you guys have plans?" I asked.  Nathan titled his head and looked at me. "Have you gone mad?" "What?" "We were just talking about heading to your place and you kept nodding. We assumed that you agreed." He sighed and eyed me seriously. He shook his head and tutted. What is he doing? "I see, you just got your heart broken. Just get back with her, man. I'm sure Daniel won't mind." My brows furrowed at what he said. "You're weird." I stood up. "Fine, let's go." "Why am I the weird guy? Daniel, let's not walk with him." Daniel ignored him and went ahead of us. "Now I'm heartbroken." We agreed to order pizza before heading to my place. Nathan begged to just order back at home but Mr. Jones scolded him and told him it'll be a waste of time waiting for pizza at home. I don't really care either way as long as I can eat pizza then, it’s fine. "It's all the same we're still going to wait for pizza here." Nathan is still blabbering about ordering at home even though we already ordered pizza and now waiting for it inside pizzahot. He's so noisy,  I feel like I'm with a kid right now. "You should've brought your car then and went ahead." I said. He looked at me and smiled. "You're a genius, Kai." He smiled and gave me a thumbs up. "Then, let me borrow your car. I'll be waiting for you guys there with open arms."  I shouldn't have said that. He opened his hands and waited for me to give him my car keys. How did I become friends with this guy? I sighed and gave him my keys. "If I see a scratch you're sleeping in a coffin." I warned him. "I'll take good care of it." I should see him off. No, I should just go with him. He's a guy with a crazy mind who shouldn't be trusted. I remember how he ended up in the hospital when we were ten because he wanted to do a double flip with his bicycle. He was lucky he didn't fly high like I expected him to and did not get his bones broken, like I also expected. "Kai," Daniel called while typing on his phone. "Mom just texted me. I need to go somewhere. Can you wait for the pizza? I'll head directly to your place after."  "Yes I can do that and take Nathan with you. Don't let him drive my car." He chuckled. "He already left." My eyes widened and looked outside. F*ck. "I'm sure it's still in one piece. You can take a cab." Do I even have a choice? I should've agreed with Nathan earlier about ordering pizza at home. "Go away." I said and closed my eyes. Let my baby be safe. "Here's your order sir." I opened my eyes as soon as I heard the staff. F*ck their service. "Are you kidding me?!" Her eyes widened. "I-is there a problem sir?" "I could've saved my baby from being taken away by an over-adventurous driver if you were a bit early!" What kind of timing is this. This is ridiculous. "Get lost." I told the staff. She looked shocked and confused but I didn't mind her. My baby's better be in one piece or I'll make sure this place goes out of business. I don't know how I'll do that though but I swear on the pizzahot manager's ass I will do it. It's already dark. I checked and see if there's a taxi going this way. Lucky me, there's one right now. The taxi stopped in front. I was about to open the door when a familiar girl caught my eye. She's walking on the sidewalk with her head down. "Are you getting in?" I looked at the driver and nodded. I opened the door and went inside the cab. Why is she walking alone at night? I eyed her carefully. I know it's her even with her head down.  "Don't drive. I'm getting out." The driver looked at me with confusion. I'm confused at my own actions too. I stepped outside the cab and decided to follow the girl I saw sitting on my seat earlier. I don't know why I'm doing this but something's telling me that I should follow her. I kept following her with a two meter distance so she wouldn’t notice. The alley is getting darker and darker as we walk forward. I saw her turn left, damn she walks too fast. I tried my best to keep up with her but as I step my foot forward my sight gets blurry. I stopped and closed my eyes. I'm not dizzy and my head isn't aching. I rubbed my eyes before opening them. My heart started racing when I couldn't see anything but darkness. I closed my eyes again.   "You'll forget me anyway." "I will not forget you, I promise." "Don't make that promise. You'll forget me because that's how I am in your memories."   I stepped back when I heard those voices. Who was that? I opened my eyes and my sight was back to normal. I looked around and searched for the voices I heard. I see no one, even the girl I was following isn't here. Where is she? "Is someone there?" I shouted. Strangely the voices I heard sounded close and what's more strange was they sounded so familiar. The other one sounded just like....me.
