I was still reeling from seeing Paul when I got back to work. I was surprised when the opening shift supervisor asked to talk to me as soon as I got in. I got a little worried and wondered if I had done anything wrong. I've been a model employee and have always gone the extra mile to help every customer that comes into the store.
Sometimes, we'll get customers who might not look like they can afford to buy in our store. The other ladies would usually ignore them and even mock them sometimes. I would help them out, and they usually end up buying something. One time, an old lady I helped turned out to be quite wealthy and ended up buying the entire line of one of our collections.
