Seeing my mom get emotional over Uncle Paul is breaking my heart. I know how much my mom loves him, and seeing him with another woman must be really painful for him.
On the other hand, Uncle Paul has amnesia, and he probably still doesn't remember us, particularly my mom, and that is why he is acting the way he is acting. All I can do right now is take care of my mom and make sure she is okay.
When we got home, my mom went straight to her room. I tried to stay with her, but she said she was okay and that she just wanted to be alone.
I ran into Aunt Marian and told her what had happened. I also asked her to bring my mom some food since she hasn't eaten yet. After her initial surprise, she said "Of course. Don't worry, I will make sure she eats."
