She stared at her phone, her eyelids dilating faster than necessary. Her lips were shivering. "Do you want to learn the truth about your fiancé?”. " Come to ‘KAYZEE’ by 9 pm. You can ignore it if you choose to and be oblivious of the truth”. " Or you do the otherwise", She read the message for the umpteenth time. She was getting married in two days, and now she had to receive a message. A message that plants doubts in her mind. Should she go or not?.. Is finding out the truth really necessary?.. Will she sit still and watch her life be destroyed? She let out a brief sigh before heading for the bathroom. ** She gently alighted from the car. She paid the driver as soon as she did. She turned slowly to the building in front of her. She held on to her phone tightly and slowly walked inside. She was met with the baffling sound of music. She stood still, her eyes scanning the restaurant for her fiancé. Her heart was beating fast against her ribcage. " He isn't here". She shut her eyes, letting out a deep breath. She felt beyond relief right now. She slowly turned backward and made to exit the restaurant. Just then, her eyes caught a glimpse of her fiancé kissing a lady passionately. Almost immediately she felt her whole world come to a standstill. Her whole body was limping. She could feel everything turning, she was feeling dizzy all of a sudden. She suddenly lost her balance. Just then a hand slowly gripped her, holding her firm. “ Watch your steps he pretty one ", He flirted. " You know this is part of a fairytale”. " Where Cinderella gets saved by the prince, and they fall in love, get married and live happily ever after”, He beamed. "Are you My Missing Rib?", He smiled at her. She suddenly stood upright dusting his hands off angrily. “ Stay away from me scumbag!”, she yelled, storming over the spot where her supposed fiance sat with his anonymous cheating partner. He stared at her, walking off. "That was rude", he muttered while sliding into a seat. "Francis?", She called out slowly and softly. Francis' eyes widened, staring at his fiancé who stood right before him. “Lottie?”, he called out softly. "It's not what you think... I can explain”, he stammered.. "Explain what Francis?", She barked. “ Explain that you are in a restaurant kissing her”. She suddenly turned toward the other lady. Her hand slowly dropped to her sides. She blinked her eyes continuously. Her heart felt like it was just stung. Her fiancé cheated on her with her best friend?. “ Violet?”, She said, rather unsure. “ Why!.. Why!" She stuttered. " You are supposed to be my best friend, why stab me in the back?”, The tears rolled down her cheeks freely. "Shut it b***h! Violet suddenly yelled at her. "Why did I do that?". “ What exactly?..Huh?". “ Have an affair with your fiancé?!", She raised her voice. She suddenly let out a soft chuckle. "Listen bestie, do not think I snatched your lover boy away from you”. “ He was never yours”. “He only decided to go into a relationship with you because I asked him to”, She spelt out. "And you think he is getting married to you because he loves you?”, She let out a brief scoff. “ Think again". " He is only doing that for your money, girl. Wake up”, She let out another chuckle. " She is lying!". “ Don't listen to her!". “ I love you Lottie and you know that”, Francis tried explaining. Lottie sniffed back her tears, and wiped her tears away afterward. " Did you two really make that plan together?”. “ Is she telling the truth?” She asked calmly. “ Lott....”, Francis tried calling out. Give me a reply!”, She yelled at him. "Yes", He replied, using the same tone as hers. “ But I fell out of love with her and fell in love with you”, He said blatantly ignoring Violet's feelings. " Enough lies already, Francis". "Now listen to me, do not ever come close to me, my company or near the Daniels”. “ I swear to God; Any day you try as much as to forfeit that, I will make you pay for what you did to me today", She seethed. " And as for you..”, She took her concentration to Violet. " The best planner", She mocked. " Know this, starting today you cease to be my bestie?", She announced. " You were never mine”, Violet rolled her eyes. "Then you Know what to do then", Lottie clicked her tongue. “ Return everything I ever gave you back to my home tomorrow”. " Failure to do so would be sure to attract the wrath of both me and my lawyer?” She said boldly. " The same goes for you", She smiled at both of them. " You.. ", Violet pointed her finger to her angrily. “ Got a problem miss?”, Lottie said, a smirk plastered on her face. Violet suddenly dropped her hand by her side. “ Yea, I'm wondering how your wedding is going to be held now”, She smirked. “ Do you know what the big headline will say tomorrow?” She gasped out loud. " Charlotte Daniels, heir to the Daniels fortune, gets dumped by her fiancé a few days before her wedding, leaving her shattered”, She demonstrated. "Are you done?" Lottie asked, showing no hint of pain. She walked slowly toward Francis. "You think so highly of yourself, Violet". “ Do you think Francis would prefer you over me?”, She chuckled. “ Of course he would”, Violet said firmly. “ He loves me and not you?” She boasted. “ Then let's find out”, She smiled, taking her gaze to Francis. “ So Francis, who would you go for between your mistress and I?", She asked. "Mistress?" Violet scoffed. “ Lottie.. Don't make me do this”, Francis pleaded. “ You got Lottie a minute to give a reply, or your reply won't matter anymore”, She said sternly. Francis slowly took his gaze from Lottie to Violet and back to Lottie. The two ladies were staring daggers at him. These were the two ladies he loved the most. The two ladies he could choose between. He wanted the two of them for himself. Is it that hard to ask for? He drenched the day this would happen, and now he was stuck between them.
