New Beginings

Our life has been a whirl wind. It's now just Mom and I as dad passed away 5 years ago from lung cancer. Mom and I have been on our own, and I've been worried about Mom as she has not even tried dating anyone until now. We're moving in with him today. My name is Casey and I'm 17 years old, I'm a senior in high school and as much as I hate moving to a different school I'm somewhat excited to see how our life will pan out. Mom yells "sweety do you have everything packed and ready I'm wanting to leave in the next 5 minutes it's an hour long drive." I packed all my stuff and had it ready by the front door last night as I didn't want to leave anything we've been renting this house for the past 5 years as Mom said it was too much to keep staying where dad passed at. And she was right. We had some sleepless nights. I scurry down to Mom, and we head to the car as the movers are already on their way. We get in the car, and mom sighs. " I know it's a lot to be moving your last year of high school, but the school you'll be attending is so much better than here." I smile and nod. We small talk on the ride and when we get closer Mom fills me in a little more as I've never met them I've been too afraid too, to get attached to another family and something happen. Mom says Mr. Chaplan has 2 sons, Nick is 18, and Roman is 19. Nick is also a senior like me, and Roman graduated last year but is helping his dad with work. I asked mom what they did, and she said Mr. Chaplan owns multiple law firms, so Roman is learning to be a lawyer. I smile and mom adds now since school starts in 3 weeks we decided to take a family vacation and he can't decide where it's between Italy or France and I shake my head like yea right mom. We leave in 3 days, so that's why we moved up moving in together. We pull up to a giant gate and mom clicks a button in the car letting the gate open and as we pull up closer I'm in awe of how stunning this mansion is, I've seen plenty of them but never have I stayed or seen the inside. We get closer, and I see 3 figures smirking at the car and mom smiling like a school girl and waving. Mr. Chaplan opens moms door, and I go to get out . The Dorr swings open, and I see Nick and Roman fighting over who's helping me. I smile and introduce myself and they say we know your mom has shown lots of pictures just glad we finally get to meet you, we honestly thought you were fake or a myth from your mom's mind. Mr. Chaplan comes running over and saying how good it is to finally meet me that he's so excited about the vacation were going on in 3 days and it's up to me to decide where we go and I shrug and say I've never been anywhere on a plane how about you tell me about each place and then I can decide. He says, "Better yet, do you want to go someplace cold or hot?" I say hot but more of the lines of beachy tropical hot. He says okay booked and decided I'm taking you all to Mykonos!" I laugh and say okay. Not really believing he would as I barely know them. He says, "And call me Jake. I don't like the formal name." I smile, and he says, "Now go unpack and pack for a week in Mykonos!" I don't know why, but I jumped into his arms, giving him a bear hug. The look on his face was suprise, but then it changed into him hugging me and smiling. Nick and Roman took the courtesy of showing me around the house it has 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. Roman says that my mom's and their dad's are on the top floor along with his office. Our bedrooms are on the second floor and there is 2 rooms on the first floor but one is a guest and the other is our game room, so if you game or want to add something to that room we're happy to share. I smile with a questionable face, not really believing them. They show me to my room, which is right across from theirs. They say if I get scared or need anything, their doors are always unlocked. Now let's talk about Roman and Nick, my new stepbrother's. Roman is built like a Greek God, 6 foot 4 and toned with tattoos, Nick is the same but 6 foot 6 and toned as well, and somehow, he looks to have more tattoos than Roman My mom let me get a couple when my dad passed, but not any physically seen. I wonder if living here, she would let me. Roman has a man bun type hair style, while Nick has it shaved on the sides and a little longer on the top. Let's just say if they weren't my step brothers, I'd be in heaven. We get inside my room, and it's already furnished with things I like. I guess mom has been over a lot and been decorating already. They say exactly what I was thinking, and I laugh. They asked me if I'd like help unpacking and I take them up on the offer as I have to hurry mom said we're going out to dinner at a special restaurant. I say just kind of put things where you think they'd go, and I'll organize how I like it when we get back from dinner, I want to get a shower before we go. They say to go get a shower, and they'd bring the stuff up the bathroom door locks. And you already have a bunch of stuff here. Your mom went shopping for clothes to wear to these special dinners. They walked to the walk-in closet and opened the door and my jaw fell to the floor, Roman picked out a red sundress looking dress and Nick picked out a purple haltertop dress. I walked into the closet and saw this amazing teal blue dress that looked like it had gone just above my knee. Mom knows I don't wear heels, so the shoe rack is impressive, converse, Nike, and a bunch of other sneakers along with sandals. I grabbed a pair of all black Nike sneakers and wink at the guys and said thank you for everything. I'm going to grab a quick shower, and I'll be out. Halfway through my shower, I hear a knock on the door, and I reply I'll be out in just a few. It was my mom, she said hurry up sweety were leaving in an hour to go to the restaurant. I quickly finished my shower and luckily didn't wash my hair, so it would be easier to style and do a simple makeup look that is natural. I did my makeup and styled my hair in a half up do and put on the beautiful dress with my black sneakers that come to find out have a platform heel built in them. I took a picture in the mirror and sent it to my best friend back home. She texted back instantly "girl stop, you're so beautiful now post that on Macebook." I heart reacted the message and did as she said.I headed downstairs to see my parents and the guys in the living room. All jaws were dropped.
