Chapter twelve: Rescue

"We have to get her back" I said with fear in my words.

"But we don't know what King Daniel is going to do, he might kill all of us" Favour said.

"Ewó, what is all this, why am I even here, what is happening, is this a dream or what?" My mom asked.

"Favour, you said if I go my parents would be safe, what happened?" I asked.

"Well….I guess the enemy was steps ahead of us. In this universe there are very smart people, So they know how to outsmart their enemy" Favour explained.

"So, you this Favour, you're the one that is doing this to my daughter" My father blurted.

"Dad, mom, how did you get here?" I asked.

"Well….."

Tochukwu's [Chioma's mother] pov;

Flashback;

"Mama?" I heard Ucheoma's voice from outside.

"What is it?" I asked

She struggled with her words while raising her hands to the sky, "Mama, what Is… is th… That?"

"EWÒ" I exclaimed.

I didn't believe what I was seeing.

"Mama, do you know what that is?" Ucheoma asked.

"Ah ah, how would I know"

What is this, what is it going to do, abi is Chioma inside?.

"Mama, it is coming nearer oh" Ucheoma fearfully said, every house owner around us was as surprised as us.

Suddenly blue light struck the floor where we all were, making the ground shake.

The next thing we saw was space men wearing masks rushing out of the blue rays.

"Ucheoma, what is this, are they doing a movie here?" I asked from the hiding spot I was.

"Mama, I don't know" Ucheoma answer with a obviously

"Tochukwu!" We know you're here '' One of the space men said with the horrible pronunciation of my name.

"Mama, they are calling your name oh" Ucheoma said.

"I know, but they must not know I am here, be quiet" I whispered.

We hid in our position when my husband came from the farm to the. Position of the ship.

"Ye!, what is this" My husband said with his left ready to run if anything happens.

"Oh, you must be Chukwuebuka, we have been waiting for you" one of the space men said.

"Things just got worse, my daughter Ucheoma said.

"How did you know my name and why are you here?" Chukwuebuka asked.

"Well, aren't you aware that you are the father of the so called protector of KINDREDIN?" the space men asked.

"What is this one saying now, which daughter, and what is Kundra…." Before Chukwuebuka could finish the space men cutted in.

"It's KINDREDIN!" He corrected, "Do not mistake that word."

The space men grabbed Chukwuebuka and they sucked him into the ship, "If you are the wife of this fellow, or if you are his family member, I advise you to come out now, if you don't in three second time, we would crush him into death" The assumed boss of the space men threatened.

I and Ucheoma just had to come out, I don't want to watch my husband die just like that.

"He…. Here we are…. Are" I said with my hands holding Ucheoma's hand.

With no reply, clue rays struckd to us and we were sucked into the spaceship, then the next movement was the spaceship blasting to space.

Three of us were tied up with a blue coloured chain. But lucky for us Adaego is safe in her friend's house, I can't risk her dying.

"What do you guys mean by KINDREDIN?" My Dad asked.

"Your daughter 'Chioma' is the protector of our world, she wants to spoil our plans, every thousands of years a protector would show up, trying to defect us, But as usual evil wins, we use the advantage of their family to take them down, now that we Have you, our plan would be successful"

I faced Chukwuebuka who was already facing me, "So that was where Chioma went" I told Chukwuebuka.

"Chioma really put us in big trouble."

Flashback;

Chioma's pov

"Wow, so that's the whole story?" I asked my mother.

"Yes" my mother replied. "After that we reached this universe after that they trapped us in the kings palace" My mom added.

"Well, I am going to rescue Ucheoma, who's with me?" I asked.

"Fine, I'll go, I guess I'll help fight off the guards" Favour added.

"Okay, mom, Dad please get into that building and wait for us" I said while pointing where I was referring to.

"Chioma, be careful oh, this thing you are doing is dangerous, and i don't like it Oh" my mum fearfully said.

"Don't worry, I'll be back in good shape" I assured.

"Thank God Adaego isn't here, if not she would ha…." 

I quickly cut my mum off by running out of her sight, I couldn't hear more about my mother's love for Adaego, she's still the same for over a year.

"First we need to be fully prepared because it would be really hard to defeat them" Favour pointed out.

"But I have my powers, what else do we really need?" I asked.

"We are going to need much more than your powers" Favour said.

"Okay, so how will we find weapons, and how will we do that when guards are all over the city?"

"Well, that would be the hard part" 

"That sure would be, we have to get going before they do anything to my dear sister" I immediately said.

"Let ride on." Favour said.

We sneak into the side of buildings around the city, "We need a plan" 

"Well I knew that before we started the movement" Favour words relieved me

"Great, what do you have in mind?" I asked.

" Okay so here's what is going to happen…. " He explained the whole plan and it was a really Amazing one.

Favour threw a strong smelt tear gas into the first Street of our position. The strong smell of the tear gas made the security men pass out.

We couldn't use tear gas for all the Street because he only has two, we both agreed we would use the last one when we are battling King Daniel.

Favour said we would have to fight our way through the other three Streets. I blasted blue rays of my powers into one of my hands, while Favour carried one of his pistols from his side bags.

"Ready?" I asked.

"Always" Favour answered. "Let's make a move."

We both pulled out of our hiding places.

"Everyone, there they are, attack!" One of the soldiers said from the other side of the road.

Would Favour be fine without powers? One of the soldiers pointed a g*n with his hands already pulling the trigger, immediately Favour used his legs to pull a rod from the ground, he used the rod to swallow the bullet through the hole and he directed it back to the soldier that fired it at him. His current action answered my question.

All I did was blasting the soldiers away with the blue rays of fire in my right hand.

Favour pov;

Chioma is really trying over there, I guess she is getting used to the powers, but her skills are really weak, she really needs perfect training, her movements are weak and slow, I summarised all my thoughts in my mind while fighting.

My g*n's bullet had finished, I quickly disarmed one of my opponents in my nearest position of where I stood, I immediately grabbed his g*n he dropped until the ground, they were really calling in more reinforcements, I needed to clear the way to our escape.

I shot off the soldiers at the end of the Street, after that I gave Chioma the impression of departure.

"Chioma!, We move towards that way alright, I cleared that position so we would be able to move into the other Street without too much distraction" I explained the plan further.

"Great, that seems like a great plan," she quickly said.

We both moved into the direction agreed, as we moved into the direction we cleared some more re-enforcement that had recently come.

The next Street wasn't really as much as the last one, will I guess they all went to the other Street to fight us, we fought off the little soldiers there then immediately we ran into the other Street.

Our assumption was to expect smaller soldiers into our midst, but unfortunately we found more than the first Street, This is going to be hard.
