Chaorrupted: A new kind of threat

After their gruesome experience, the group was summoned to the Headmaster’s office. They were told not to spread the news of the new species of monsters to avoid panic.

“You must keep today’s event a secret.” The Headmaster ordered as the group came into his office, Instructor Holland was already informed so he decided to go to the nurse’s office after reporting to the headmaster.

“About the transfer student, why does it have to be him?” Kael asked, looking at the Headmaster while waiting for his answer.

“I had a guess that you would know about it through the rumors but I did not expect that you would meet him there. I chose him because he knows how to deal with those kinds of monsters.”

“So you’re saying that he has been fighting against those kinds of monsters for a long time?” Everybody in the room was surprised after hearing the headmaster’s remarks.

“He holds knowledge regarding those new kinds of species of monsters that your group had encountered, so it had to be him.”

“But that monster appeared right after he transferred back here.”

The headmaster looked at Kael and then the rest of the group.

“Those monsters actually showed up and been around in the last 3 years, but the kingdom kept it a secret and protected everyone from the shadows. The entire world knew the existence of these species and has been doing the same thing. The price of protecting the citizens is so great that some kingdoms lost a lot of their fighting assets, so I had them transferred back for assurance.”

“Do you have no faith in us that you have to transfer him back here?”

The headmaster noticed that the students focused their sights on him as they expected for an answer.

“Do not misunderstand my intentions, Instructor Holland knew of its existence but still failed to apprehend that monster, if Rai Raze had not been there, your group would have perished. A loss of an Instructor and a group of students is unacceptable, I value the student body as well as the faculty.” The headmaster answered with a stern look in his face.

“You had your fair share of despair today, so now tell me, do you have what it takes to take an army of mature monsters? I highly doubt that you can even reduce their numbers, the way you cannot hope to fathom the strength of a mature monster of that kind, at least for now.”

The group had a terrified look on their faces when they remembered how helpless they were, especially Charles who had encountered the thing twice, his face grew pale as he remembered his dance with death.

“Those who knew Rai Raze have seen how powerful he has grown within the span of two years after leaving the academy.”

Kael had an anguished look in his face after remembering how strong Rai got.

The discussion lasted a few more minutes and then the headmaster dismissed them to rest for the day

“I hope my decision was right.” The Headmaster hoped for after the students left his office.

“Charlotte, -“Kael called out to Charlotte as they walked away from the office.

“Ye- yes?”

“Did you regret the decision you made two years ago?” Kael wore a sad face while asking Charlotte a question but Charlotte only gave him a smile.

“It is far too late for me to regret what I decided to do a long time ago” she answered.

After she gave Kael an answer, she saw a familiar face that she had not seen for a long time walk past them.

“That guys is-“ Kael looked back at the guy and asked Charlotte

“What’s the matter, do you know him?”

The moment that guy walked past them, Charlotte met with his eyes, that guy gave her a malicious smile. Charlotte knew the meaning of that smile, it was “It’s time to pay for your sin”

“Are you okay? You’re probably exhausted after what happened, we should go rest”

*Charlotte was still stuck in her thoughts as to what is that guy doing in their school. Then she recalled the rumors about the two transfer students, she concluded that that guy is the other one. Kael took her hand which brought her back to her senses.

“Let’s go”

“O-okay, thanks”

*They went to their respective dorms and rest. Meanwhile the Headmaster summoned Rai to his office.

“So, have you gotten used to the academy again, Rai?”

“A lot has change and I have to deal with it, thanks to you” Rai answered with an annoyed look in his face.

“You yourself change a lot, a whole lot”

“Coming back here did not even crossed my mind”

“I know, but please do it as a favor for me, given your strength as- “ Before the Headmaster was able to finish what he had to say, he felt Rai’s bloodlust giving him the signal not to continue.

“There are a lot more experienced people than me in terms of dealing with those chaorrupted”

“But you are a student here-“

“That was two years ago”

“I am sure everyone had already forgotten about what happened.”

Rai just look at the Headmaster with anger in his eyes as the Headmaster wore a smiling face the whole time. After a few exchange of words, Rai walked out of the room as his anger could blow up anytime.

“My, my. Did I just anger him?” The headmaster said with his eyes fixed on the chair.

“Please try to understand, my friend. Anyone who is requested to transfer out of the blue would get angry, not to mention his short temper since then.”

A figure emerge beside the chair wearing a smiling face.

“Have you gotten used accustomed with the academy again? Gaia Windfield?”

“I would be lying if I said I did but I saw a very pleasant person earlier so I’d say coming back here is a little worth it.”

“And you still wear that creepy smile as always huh? That really creeps me out.”

“How rude, you should have seen your face earlier. I just find this situation a little interesting.”

“Oh please stop that smiling face of yours, you really are creeping me out.”

Gaia stared at him with a disgusted face and the Headmaster stared right back at him.

“You really are a funny person Headmaster, but if you keep doing that to me, I might not be able to help you with Rai” Gaia smiled at the Headmaster.

“You really like doings this kind of things huh? You brat!”

“Hahaha, works every time so why not?”

“It’s my loss, you cunning brat! Just help him get comfortable here.”

Gaia bowed in a manner that a butler would do.

“Then I will be excusing myself Headmaster-sama”

“Yes, yes. Go away you creep, shooo, shooo!” The Headmaster treated Gaia like a chicken, but the guy just smiled at him.

Rai was walking back to his room. As he walked his way, everyone was looking at him.

“Is he one of the transfer students? Wasn’t he the one from two years ago?’

“Woah! He is so hot, is he really from our academy?”

“That’s him, the weakling from two years ago”

“I guess he is still weak that’s why he transferred here”

There were different opinions about him but it irritated him instead.

“What a bunch of nuisance.” He thought as he walk past them, when he was about to enter the room, a group of people was blocking the entrance.

“Long time no see, why did the Headmaster even bothered to transfer you back in the same class as we are. Aren’t you a little weak for the advance students? Why not start from the very beginning?”

“Dude you over killed it!” Some members of the group laughed at Rai. He looked at them with a stoic expression.

“Are you done with your little play? If so, then get out of my way.”The boys laugh at him as he ordered them to get out of his way.

“Acting all high and might aren’t you?”

“See this guy? He is an advanced category Tank, Mage and Healer. You can’t hope to even bring a single person down.” The tall guy said as he pushed Rai in the hallway, but Rai only let out a laugh and give them a smile.

“You know what? You guys are really pissing me off a whole lot. Why don’t we take this on the arena?”

“Wow, you really went on your way and challenge us huh?”

“Think you can manage it, pal?” The tall guy looks down at Rai as he is so much taller than him. But Rai still smiled at them.

“Great timing, I was really looking for a wall to vent my anger, who would have thought that I’d get live punching bags instead.”

Gaia saw the scene from a distance and basically figured everything out, he shake his head in anticipation while smiling.

“That’s not good, this might be a little one sided but I can’t wait” I think this guy has a few lose screws in the head but who knows.
