He's back

Today I woke up again with a feeling of something missing. I had become used to with my parents not talking to me properly. I managed everything till now only because of Dawn. But how should I manage the feelings I have for Liam. Should I tell Dawn about it and ask for her advice? But then it's only me. Liam doesn't love me.

I have come to realize I am hopeless in romance. I did not give anyone chance up until now. And the one I love doesn't love me back. Love can not be forced. It is fine if he doesn't love me, I will always love him. I won't ever force anything on him and try to be just friends with him. With this resolution in my mind I went to office.

The atmosphere was heavy as if he's back. But I did not see him in the penthouse, I might be imagining. 'Said to soon.' My secretary came running to me "Mam you've been called to the CEO's office now" "Is he back?" "Yes Mam, he's back" I nodded to her but my heart rate quickened. I will see him after 3 days. When I entered his chamber, Drew was already there. I greeted both of them, when i looked at Liam he had dark circles under his eyes, it seemed he had lost weight or so I thought, but he did not have enough sleep that I am sure and his facial expressions were more cold than usual. 'But why?' "We have to arrange for an event, our clients from Japan are coming. We will with the help of orphanages will put a good show, we need a theme and board of members have selected foster care/adoption as the theme"

Now I was lost and scared. I always visit orphanages around the world but not here. And the theme will be tough for me to decide on the promotional and advertising part. I looked at Drew and he was already looking at me. "That will be a challenge I suppose" he stated to me more than to Liam. "I will be the incharge" Drew said. Liam nodded a little confused. "Baby girl, you will have to take over all my tasks here in the office, Ok?" "Yeah Ok" I answered him a bit restless. "Come here" Drew asked. I went close to him "You will be fine, Dawn, me, Chris, your best friend and now Liam is also here. We are your family, remember?" he said ruffling my hair and I nodded. Liam was seeing our exchange with lot of question marks on his face. "You may go now Bella" Liam finally said something to me, but it was cold, lacking the warmth that I expected.

Being the COO I should be responsible for all the PR related tasks, what will I do if I were in some other firm and not where my brother-in-law will be there to protect me, or someone else. I should recover from my fears already. Drew was so correct when he said I have a family having my sister, my best friend, my twin like friend, my brother-in-law and now Liam...may be not him for now. But I consider all of them my family. They are my strength, why do I need anyone else. A new determination surrounded me. I started looking for all the possible venues, contacting orphanages for their help, and gathering people to work on it. We need unique ideas. I should research who our clients really are, their backgrounds and every other detail what we have got with us and tbose which are readily available on internet.

By the end of the day, I prepared a sample plan and presented them in front of Drew and Liam. They were discussing about a certain someone who is going to help us in this event and that certain someone is a lady, I think the same who had Liam's phone the other day, but who is she?. 'Is she very close to Liam, does he love her?' About the presentation and the plan I prepared Drew was happy to see the improvement, Liam cold. "I like the idea already, we have to do few more major changes, but we should stick to the basic plan that you've prepared, What say Liam?" "I agree, let's take it as a base. I will involve her for more ideas, she will be happy" "Who is the she we are talking about? The one who picked up my call 3 days back?" I couldn't control the suspense more and I blurted. Drew's eyes widened, "You went to visit her?" "Yes, she missed me" I was ignored by the both of them but the thing that bothered me were Liam's words, tears started welling up in my eyes. "Excuse me" I left for the washroom. I know I am thinking too much, but who is she, is she Liam's lover? If yes, I won't work for this event, I will manage Drew's tasks only and stay at office. I know I sound pathetic but I can not help it.
