He Caught Me

Liam caught me just in time and prevented me from the great fall. But i can't explain the sensations that I felt from head to toe. What is he doing here?

"Are you alright?" Liam asked in a concerned tone.

"Umm, I am fine, thanks! Liam, what are you doing here?"

"This is my penthouse" "Whattt?? But Drew told I can live here" "Yes, you can" "In your penthouse? With you? No it's inappropriate to live with your boss. I can't live here, I'll pack up and leave shortly, sorry for the disturbance"

"Bella wait! Drew told you to live here coz this is where any of my executive staffs stay when they work overtime. Also, Drew arranges all of this according to the need. I think you should respect his suggestion, and stay, but it's all upto you"

I thought for a while and decided to stay. We'll be in the office for full day and take rest once back, so fair enough I guess. Liam was looking at me with desperation in his eyes when he told me to stay or so what I thought. Drew was correct when he suggested to shift to penthouse, anyway all of this is for work. 'Yeah Yeah!' "So?" "I am staying Liam" I said and my smile widened when Liam crooked up a smile. He seldomly smiles, and it's enchanting when he does.

"I made pasta and it will be enough for both of us, you didn't have dinner right?" "Yep, starving" 'Seriously, if I was not here what would he eat?' thinking to myself I served for the both of us. "Oh! I missed this" Liam murmured, but I heard him and a blush crept my cheek. I enjoyed having dinner with him after a long time. Whenever i fried to steal glances at him, he was already looking at me, catching me off guard always. I started to feel a bit shy and finished my food in one go. "I'll leave first, good night" I hurried back to my room without sparing a glance at Liam. I hope I didn't disappoint him with my actions. I drifted off to sleep soon.

The next day I woke up a bit early than regular days. I took quick shower changed to my work clothes and headed to prepare breakfast only to find french-toast, boiled eggs and orange juice placed at the table with a note -

I was super happy after seeing the note and the breakfast. He's always first one to reach office, but I didn't expect him to start at 7:30 in the morning. 'He should take care of his health as well'. I merrily ate my breakfast and reached office. My office desk was loaded will a dozens of file, I had to complete reviewing all of them by today and it's a lot!

The day went by, everyone was busy as hell. I didn't see Drew or Liam till dinner time. "Hey Baby girl, let's get dinner, Dawn is here" "Where will we go?" "To the penthouse, Dawn has prepared everything with the help of Aunt Shelly and before you ask me, she's the head chef in the office canteen, we request her help when we miss her cooking" I simply nodded and we both proceeded towards the penthouse.

Liam was sitting on the floor with his top two shirt buttons open and resting his head on Dawn's lap who was ruffling his hair like a little child. "When will the baby come?" "Soon Liam" "I can't wait to hold him, and trust me I'll spoil him a lot" "Have you decided a name for him?" "I want him to name Leo, but I am afraid" "Don't worry, we'll name him Leo only, Drew and me had decided the same when we came to know we are going to have a boy. Nothing will happen to him, you'll be there to protect him, won't you?" "I'll protect him with my life" "We trust you Liam and we love you as well" Dawn told Liam in an assuring way. Who is Leo? All this time Drew was standing beside me with moist eyes, then after composing himself he masked the emotions with his happy go lucky person. Just who was Leo?

We had dinner discussing about the baby, Dawn's health, some business matters, but none of us brought up Leo. I had so many questions but I didn't want to ruin the atmosphere. After Drew and Dawn left I started reviewing the files that were left. Liam was in his study, again distant.

I found myself on the bed when I woke up, Liam might have tucked me in. 'I should prepare breakfast today and something nice as today is weekend. Hope we'll spend it together'
