Losing My Parents
I was combing my black long hair after taking a hot warm bath when my mom shouted from down stairs "Ivonna... honey, we are leaving now, don't forget to lock the door and check on the windows, tonight's weather might be strongly windy". Mom and dad were invited to dinner by their friends that night, to a restaurant in the middle of Lauders, the night that turned out to be a nightmare for me each and every night. "Okay mom don't worry, I'll make sure everything will be fine, go and have some fun and don't forget to shake those sexy hips in that dress", I replied as she rolled her eyes and walked out away from my dirty flirts, blowing me a kiss.
That night I was left home with my godmother "Rose" that become part of the family. She moved in when i was born and lived with us for 18 years so far. I was laying down on the sofa in the living room, chatting with my best friend "Lea", talking about how excited we are for tomorrow. "Lea" was my best friend since grade one. Tomorrow is the big day for both of us, tomorrow is graduation day at High school.
After an hour, "Lea" suddenly went offline for seconds then called me...
"Turn on the Tv quickly", she said in a terrifying voice.
"What's going on lee", I asked as I reached the controller in a hurry, i turned the Tv on and the news was already everywhere.
"Ivonna are you still there...you making me nervous...say something please...am coming don't go anywhere...I'll be there in a minute...".
When "Lea" hang out I kept on starring on the Tv screen with my eyes full of tears silently. As the reporter mentioned my parent's name I shouted out loud "NOoo", falling on the ground unable to gain back my strength and i lost consciousness.
I found myself laying on bed with "Rose" and "Lea" beside me, I thought I had a nightmare first, but unfortunately it wasn't. "Rose please tell me my parents didn't die, tell me that was a nightmare, Lee please tell me it's a nightmare...". Rose called the doctor for me to check on my health, i was breaking-down so he gave me some tranquilizers. After the doctor went, Rose left me in the room with Lea after she heard a knock on the door. A police officer came and took informations from "Rose" and gave her some too.
It was a very hard night, I wished time had stopped. And what a shame, instead of getting ready for my graduation ceremony , tomorrow I am gonna attend both mom and dad's funeral.
That night the police officer told "Rose" what happened withmy parents. They had an accident on their way to the restaurant when a branch of a tree fall down on the car's front glass crashing into it, the reason why my dad couldn't watch his road anymore and kept moving till the car hit a wall. This was their sad ending, they left me nothing but lovely memories.
