First Chapter-School No More
It’s the last day of school, and the last ring of the bell rang. –“This is for this year, children, see you all next year!” –the teacher said in excitement, but mostly relieved voice. She did try to hide it though. Gregory would be relieved as well, knowing that he finally won’t be able to spend the half of his day, bored, doing nothing for the next six months. Immersed in his own thoughts, he found himself in the middle of the crowded and noisy main hall at his school, when a familiar voice shouts out: “YAY! FINALLY NO MORE SCHOOL”. That was Caitlyn. A friend of his. And his only friend. Gregory is not really a sociable person, as Caitlyn is, but they do know how to have fun. Together, they spend all the time at school, not only in school, but generally together. –“Heh, only for six months, Caitlyn” –Greg giggled- “Sure six months, Greg, but don’t you know how much time this is?” –as Cait added-“Yeah I do, but just as we finished minutes ago, it will take only a moment to realize that it’s time to wake up early. Again.” –“Ah Gregory, don’t be like this! I’m pretty sure it won’t be exactly like that, I mean at least, but still there must be something to do in this summer break, right?” - “Well, if spending your whole summer time in your uncle’s house counts?” –Gregory asked in a sarcastic voice- “Uncle?...Oh-That uncle... Wasn’t he crazy or something?” –Caitlyn giggled- “No! He is not crazy.. It’s just his behavior at all. I’m pretty sure, that he is a good person to be honest.” –Greg tried to defend his uncle, although he kind of agrees with Caitlyn. There is a little moment of awkward silence around, when a van, quite perfectly parked, right next to the opposite sidewalk of the school’s yard, honks it's horn. –“Oh, my parents are there, waiting for me, shall I ask them to drive you home?” –Gregory asked, with a bright smile. –“Oh, sure but my parents should be here any moment.” –“Oh, okay then, maybe next time?” –Greg sighed- “When, next year?” –Cait chuckled- “You know that we can still talk in a video chat, right?” - “Oh, true, haha..” –Greg smiled (even with a some kind of fake smile) and flushed cheeks. “Oh well, bye for now Greg!” -Caitlyn walked off him, with a hand waving in the air. –“Bye Cait, catch you later!”
