Siren sighed as she moved back from the medical pod and ran the palms of her hands down the legs of her hyper-sleep jumpsuit. Her eyes drooped at the corners and the bags under eyes had grown an even darker shade than before this current crisis. Siren appeared more tired than Nick had ever seen her.
“You okay?” Nick asked, moving to stand beside her. He wrapped his right arm around her shoulders and pulled her tight to his side. She smelled of perspiration and her favorite jasmine tea.
