The Devil's Trap

Downtown in New York City at the Equinox Five-star Hotel, as Aubrey Grajeda was going up the elevator to the room after having dinner her adoptive mother reserved for her, she suddenly could hardly breathe, her body felt so hot and sensitive “What in the world is happening to me?” she thought. She walks up to her room 3162 and opens the door, walking up to the king-sized bed, still feeling so hot she gets up and walks into the restroom, closing the door. As she was in there, a handsome man unlocks the door walking in with his assistant holding his luggage. “Sir, this is your room, is there anything else you will need?” James asks, “No, that’ll be all you may leave James” says Zane Costello, James bows his head walking out the door leaving Zane alone. As he was looking out the window, his phone rang “Hello? “Next month, come to the Moxy Hotel in Time square for dinner, Mr. Camacho is coming by with Stephanie to discuss your marriage agreement” Zane’s father, Mr. Costello tells him Zane hangs up, tossing the phone on the table. He sat on the couch about to relax until he saw the restroom door opening slowly. Right away he gets up, taking his gun out pointing it at the door already loaded. As he was about to pull the trigger, he saw a young woman walk out the door whipping her face with the town not noticing him. She puts her purse and phone on the nightstand, unzipping her dress, letting it fall to the ground and slides her 5-inch heels off and gets under the blankets of the bed, starting to fall asleep half naked. Quietly, Zane walks closer taking a good look at her. He leans down slightly, moving her long dark curly hair from her face. “Such a beautiful woman but what are you doing here my dear?” he asks softly, putting his gun away and sitting down next to her. He sees her purse on to the night stand “Aubrey Grajeda age 23” say’s her driver’s license Zane makes a call “James give me information on a Aubrey Grajeda” he says after hanging up Aubrey puts her arms around Zane’s neck pulling him in, Zane was shocked “You’re playing with fire my dear” Aubrey squint’s her eyes open “Mhmm he-he your handsome” Zane looks down at her smiling softly “What an interesting thing you are” Aubrey grabs his hand pinning him down with her on top of him “You talk too much” she says starting to kiss him Zane was going to push her off him but he didn’t hate her for some reason he couldn’t resist her so he kissed her back with more passion taking her in. The next morning, Aubrey wakes up slowly stretching sitting up and rubbing her face. “Oh my god what the hell happened last night?” she asks herself, she slouches back on the pillow and notices a man back turned to her shirtless. “Haa” she gasps startled “Oh my god no no!!!” she says softly looking under the blanket and see’s she’s completely naked and think’s “What the hell is going on? Who is this guy?” she asks herself freaking out. She rubs her head trying to remember and realizes her adoptive mother reserved this room for a reason and Grace, her sister wanted her to drink with her on purpose. “After drinking the champagne, that’s when I blacked out”, she tells herself. She grabs her clothes quietly, tiptoeing into the restroom putting them on, then washing her face as she walks out, she sees the man is still sleeping. She walks up grabbing her phone and purse taking 5 hundred-dollar bills out leaving them next to him with a note. When Aubrey walked out the room she walked past Zane’s Assistant James, for a moment he looked back at her wondering where he's seen her before. He walks up to the room knocking on the door. Zane wakes up from the sound of knocking on the door and look around seeing Aubrey wasn’t there and the corner of his eye he sees spots of blood where Aubrey laid “Come in!” he shouts covering the spot “Sir the information you wanted last night” James says handing him the paperwork Zane grabs the papers looking threw them “Aubrey Grajeda -Single -Birthday: Jan, 26, 1995 -Age 23 -Adopted by the Salvador’s 3 years ago -Current residence 15243 North Washington street, New York City -Cell phone number (212-345-0012)” “Very interesting” He says to himself and see’s the money and note she left “Last night was a mistake don’t take it to heart take care -A” it said Zane grins “I’ll see you soon miss Aubrey” he says to himself. As Aubrey was walking home, she saw a clothing store and walked in grabbing light blue high-waist shorts, a dark burgundy knitted sweater and some white and black converse. She walked into the dressing room changing into the clothes, putting her hair in a messy bun and putting some shades on walking out up to the cashier paying for everything she was wearing. Walking to her house she already knew what was going to happen. Her parents are going to ask where she was and why she didn't come straight home last night. As she was walking in her adoptive family was already waiting for her in the living room “Where have you been?” her adoptive father asks standing up crossing his arms “I got drunk last night and called Michelle for a ride to her house” Aubrey says “What?! Why didn’t you stay at the hotel room I reserved for you!” her adoptive mother shouts Aubrey already knew it “Why do you ask? so I can get taken advantage of from the guy you sent?” she asked crossing her arms “Aubrey what are you talking about” Grace ask’s pretending to worry “Oh you don’t think I know you poisoned my champaign last night and tried to get someone to r**e me?” Aubrey say’s walking up to her lifting her shades “that’s not true you’re my sister why would I do that to you?” Grace asks, tearing up “Please stop pretending you're just embarrassing yourself” Aubrey says starting to walk away “Oh and just to let you all know just because you’re my adoptive family doesn’t mean I’ll let you off” she says walking up the stairs Grace, her mother and father all looked at each other arguing about something disgusted by her.
