June.
I got to the door and opened it. His tie was off his sleeves, which had been rolled up to his arms. He was around six feet five and had dark short hair. His lips were so kissable.
My stomach squelched.
He held the door and stepped in, taking the towel off my hand. I held my breath. The second, his finger brushed the hair off my lips. It was just a faint touch, but it didn’t feel the same. “Here.”
“Drink this, I don’t want your father coming to my pack with a siren because you got a cold.”
I rolled my eyes.
He didn’t have to mention that, I took the warm cup from his hand, wondering what was in it.
“Does he know you are here?”
No. He doesn’t.
I did tell him I was going to be with Ariana for her birthday, but I never mentioned that it was going to be another pack.
“Yes.”
“You little liar.”
I almost spat out the drink, hoping he wasn’t going to see the flustered look on my face. He held my chin with a finger and wiped the spilled drink from my lips with his thumb.
My legs pressed together, my chest heavy, and I couldn’t do anything. I needed to get a grip.
He let go, took his jacket from the bed, and walked out of the room.
I was fazed. My hand slowly went down to my lips, if I could feel it again when he touched me, my eyes closed shut, I thought of his fingers moving down from my lips into my p***y, and I bit back a groan.
Fuck.
My father, a Gamma Intelligence officer in Bloodhood Pack, worked as a detective in the pack. I couldn’t even mention that I was in the ShadowFang Pack or tell him that my best friend came from that pack. He would want to investigate and bring out every secret to prove I was never supposed to be here.
My mother went missing when I was fifteen, and my brother was just five. She went for a business meeting, and we never saw her again.
I applied the mascara on my eyes and flapped my lashes, ruining it.
“June, I said I was going to do your makeup.”
“You are the birthday girl, I don’t want you stressing over my makeup.” I stared at the mirror, blonde, tall, around 6’1 with a slender figure, red lips, and hazel eyes. She graduated from the fine arts. She was trying to put her dress on, and I tried not to stare at her panties. Although we have been friends for years, I still feel shy when I get undressed around her, but Ariana was the complete opposite.
“And I want you to look stunning tonight.” She blew me a kiss. “I need your help with my dress, can’t get this corset on.”
I dropped the mascara and went over to help her with the corset. “How was your ride?”
“My dad wasn’t very overbearing, was he?”
I didn’t answer quickly, so I gave it a second. “He was good.”
“When you called, and that Ralph was running late, I couldn’t just leave you there. Then I remembered my Daddy was around the Pack as well. So I had to inform him about your situation if he could get you on his way back from his meeting which was supposed to last for two hours. I was surprised to find you home already.”
Was the meeting supposed to last two hours?
“Perfect.” She grinned when I was done fixing her corset.
“Happy Birthday Ariana.”
She smiled and pulled me into a hug. “Thank you for coming, I love you.”
My arms wrapped around her, I needed to breathe and get the thoughts of her father off my head, I needed to focus on my reality, and my life.
Ariana, my boyfriend Ralph, is graduating from Med school.
“Ariana, someone is here to see you.”
We disengaged and she sauntered towards the door. When she opened it, I heard the sound of music from the speakers. She spoke to whoever was at the door and proceeded to get dressed.
“Have you seen Ralph?”
“He said he couldn’t come.”
“Ralph is here. I saw him when he came with his cousin Kelvin.”
I let my hair down, and faced the mirror, applying a little lipstick to my lips, with some accessories. Trying to act natural, I forced a smile on my lips and turned to Ariana. “Maybe he changed his mind and decided to come for me.”
“That’s what I thought.”
“I need to be down in a minute, do I need to wear my heels? Jimin is already intimidated by my height.”
I chuckled. “A short king isn’t he?”
She smiled. “You know that’s how I like my men,”
There was another knock on the door. “We need to get going.”
“I’ll join you soon.”
She nodded, putting her black heels on, before she sprinted to the door.
I twirled on the seat and focused on my makeup, when a call came through from my father.
“I just called to remind you not to stay out too late.” He said, ever since my mother went missing, he has never been the same. I think we all weren’t.
“Make sure your doors and windows are always closed, and call me if anything happens.”
I hummed.
“Goodnight.”
And that was it, every night like a routine.
The second I opened the door, I was deafened by the loud music and voices. I made my way downstairs, and the chairs had been moved, which gave room for a big space. The speakers were at the corner, there were drinks at the other end, a table which had Ariana’s cake on it, and everyone seemed to be there except him.
“C’mom June, let’s dance.” Simon, a friend of Ariana, knew him from college as well.
“I don’t really know how to dance.” I chuckled anxiously and reached out to take a drink from one of the servants moving around. I moved out of dancing bodies, my gold heels clicking on the ground with my short yellow dress. I was going to take a sip from the glass of wine when I saw my boyfriend Ralph, who was among those dancing with a drink in his hand.
I could always recognize him because of his red and black hair and the tattoos on his wrist. I dropped my glass of wine and was going to meet him.
But I lost him in the crowd, in the middle of the hall, and I couldn’t find him anymore.
I could have sworn that he was right here.
“Have you seen Ralph?!” I asked Simon who was dancing wildly with a girl.
“He was here earlier!” He yelled back because of the loud music.
“He’s not here!” I hated that I had to scream.
He shrugged and kept dancing. I groaned and shoved him aside, making my way out.
“I saw him go out that corner,” A girl said to me. I nodded at her, and walked out of the house to the back. I was getting tired walking with my heels on.
“Ral—“ I stopped.
My hand trembled when I saw him, his pants were off his waist. “I can’t take it anymore.”
“I want you so bad.”
“It will be quick.”
“I can’t f*****g resist you.” He moaned, kissing, and ramming his c**k into the one he told me was his cousin.
