A Tale Of Two Worlds Apart

CHAPTER 5

Right after Alyssa’s visit to the Alien World. Aliens started their visits to planet Earth but in a unique way, considering human beings and planet Earth as their enemies. Mysterious creatures come out of the hole, a passage connecting two worlds, then a sound spreads all around and time starts dilating. Everybody stops in their positions as dummies and if anybody moves, Aliens take that person into their world. After their departure, all of the memory of human minds erases as if nothing happened during that time. Alyssa is the only person who is aware of the current happenings without getting stuck at that time, as Alien’s leader, Zorin, is now familiar with Alyssa.

“ An apocalyptic takeover of a deadly mind-controlling virus outbreak is beyond reach, creating chaos and killing millions”.

That was a news headline by news broadcasters that reported that a deadly virus was spreading rapidly across the globe. Alyssa was stunned to watch the news while sitting in a coffee shop.

”Spilled the coffee out of mouth….”, feeling tense.

She just moved home hurriedly. It started as a small outbreak in a remote village, a virus, unlike anything anyone had ever seen. It spread quickly, infecting entire towns and cities, and soon it became clear that this was no ordinary virus. The infected began to act strangely, their behavior becoming more aggressive and erratic. It wasn't long before it was discovered that the virus was actually a form of mind control, being spread by an unknown alien race. Panic swept across the planet as people tried to avoid infection. The virus is causing severe illness, killing those infected within days. The few who survive become carriers, infecting others and fueling the spread of the virus.

The chaotic situation all around. Governments and militaries worldwide sprang into action, trying to contain the outbreak and find a cure, but their efforts were hampered by the aliens' advanced technology and their unwillingness to negotiate. The human race is facing a new kind of threat. Desperate, a small group of scientists and military personnel band together to launch a secret mission to retrieve a sample of the virus and study it to find a cure. As a team, they must overcome incredible odds and face unimaginable challenges. From the treacherous terrain of the infection, the fate of humanity hangs in the balance, learning that the virus was not just a random act of aggression but…

“..a calculated move to wipe out the human race!”

The team must now race against time to find a cure, stop the spread of the virus, and prevent the extinction of the human race. But it was too late. The virus was too contagious and too advanced, infecting more and more people every day, with everything still undiscovered.

(Next day at school, Alyssa inquired Wylie about the outbreak).

“Hey, have you heard about the recent outbreak of the mind-controlling virus?”.

Yeah...I heard about it on the news.

“It's crazy and devastating!”, Alyssa replied confusingly. Alyssa further said depressingly, “I know, right? They're saying it's spreading fast and the symptoms are just getting worse”...

’We can call it the Blue Blood virus as I've done some research on it and it’s from some extra-terrestrial species”.

“That's so scary. I heard that once you're infected, you can't control your own thoughts or actions”.Wylie agreed by saying, “That's what they're saying. It's really alarming because they still don't have a cure for it”.“Yeah, I heard that the researchers are working around the clock to find a cure “, Wylie said.

” I hope they find it soon”.Alyssa replied anxiously.” I don't even want to think about what would happen if this virus spreads any further”,” Me neither”, she said. “It's just so unsettling to think about someone else being in control of your mind’, said Alyssa.

”I have been crazy about this alien stuff but….

In reality, “it's apocalyptic”, said Alyssa.

“Don’t worry”

…Definitely, it’s a worrying situation.

We need to stay informed and take all the necessary precautions to stay safe”, Wylie said..”Absolutely”. “Let's keep ourselves and our loved ones protected”.Alyssa asked her “Can we just do research about this deadly virus thing– at your home I’ve never seen your house before.”...

Alyssa sits alone on the stairs and Jackson passes.

“ Why do you seem so quiet”.

” No, I’m fine”, she nodded”.

Have you cried already or what?” asked Jackson”.

No, nothing like that, Alyssa refused. “You can share stuff with me”. “What’s disturbing?”, asked Jackson.

“Huh. I’m not supposed to tell you anything”.

“I read your comics. Wanna know about your interests.”

” People treat me as if I’m not normal, call me by the name of the alien girl”, said Alyssa. “That’s insane..”. “But why is this so?” he asked.

“Actually, I believe in aliens, as someone believes in fairytales”. Alyssa said.” I don’t wanna see the world in a realistic way want to believe in the magic residing in the universe-space-something like fairytales existing in real life there, a whole new world.”

“Interesting!”, said Jackson.

“There are parallel universes out there and wherever they are at present, my heart resides there and everything lives in my heart”,she added.” Sounds like you have researched a lot about it then”, asked Jackson.” Yes, I’m actually crazy, it’s my dream and. burning desire”, “But -but I understand very well I live in my own fantasy world”,

“Also, I have been through an alien world which nobody believes! That was phenomenal”.

Jackson, on listening, gets up confusingly.

( panting with nervousness….)

Alyssa said, “ Why’re you acting weird?” At that point, she felt Jackson's awkward behavior. In the meantime, Alyssa’s friends arrive.

“Stay away from this guy, he’s strange”, said Wylie.

Don’t be silly, he’s so dumb” said Alyssa.” But all of us have observed his awkwardness”, Ann said.” We just want good for you”, replied Wylie.

“You guys are somehow right. I have observed the strange behavior of Jackson the past many days, but I never bothered”, Alyssa whispered.

“Mmm..he eats Micronics as if eating for the first time and does not know how to drink coffee in a cup’.Alyssa mimicked.

Ann and Wylie started laughing.

“Alyssa, you should not get too much involved in Aliens”, said Ann mockingly.

“It's suspicious in the eyes of people around!”

“I don't care what people think of me!”.
