Chapter 1: It was fate… a dangerous fate
Chapter 1: It was fate… a dangerous fate
Samantha Steele is a sexy 36 year old Lawyer with a great reputation and skills but her love life could use the same rep she and her personality have and even though she’s beautiful inside and out. She’s been through so many break ups that she’s lost self-confidence but she’ll soon find out that the saying “you never notice a good thing is in front of you.”
“There’s another copy of the Collins File on your desk Ms. Steele” Raymond said as he came in and sat in the seat across from her in the Café. “Thank you Ray you didn’t have to make two copies though.” She said not looking away from her Laptop. She couldn’t look at him at that moment because she knew she was going to lose track of what she was doing just by looking at him. She looked up at him and sighed. “I don’t know why people who obviously don’t love each other end up getting married.” She said closing her laptop.
“Maybe they saw something at first and it just disappeared over the time.” Ray said while sipping on his Black Roast coffee. Samantha stared at the picture of a happier Mr. and Mrs. Collins… she never really understood why they were getting a divorce because even coming into her office they seemed happy and Sandy was a good friend of hers, but she stopped thinking about that and put her laptop away. “Well the meeting is in 5 minutes… should we head back now?” she asked Ray and he nodded then stood up. “Do you know who’s representing Mr. Collins?” he asked her as they walked back to her office.
They walked into her private office and when she saw who was in her office, she nearly did a double take. “Michael? What are you doing here?” she asked breathlessly. Michael turned around and gave a wolfish grin. “Hello Samantha, it’s been a long time hasn’t it?” he asked as he came out to shake her hand but Raymond got in between them. “She’s fine sir.” He said giving him a look. Michael’s grin faded. “Shouldn’t you be doing… whatever Interns do around here?” he snarled and Samantha said something. “Raymond is not my intern… he is my assistant and when he graduates law school and passes the BAR exam he will be my partner, now can we please get on with this meeting?” she said making her point and shooing Ray away.
“Now for the task at hand… I spoke with my client and she couldn’t be here because she had a parent teacher’s conference to go to, I’m glad you were able to make it Mr. Collins.” She said while looking at the files. “My client only wants to keep the family business and a share of what Sandy gets in royalties in her latest Novel.” Sam wasn’t really paying much attention until she heard that. “Wait a minute you want my client to give him half of pretty much her Salary? Out of the question he can keep the business and pay Alimony and child support, he’s not getting royalties.” She said folding her arms.
Michael laughed loudly and Mr. Collins gave a huge grin. “I was only saying that because you weren’t paying attention like always Sam.” He said and she gave him a face, a mean face… a face that said “I’m gonna kill you but also I want you so bad.” He gave her a grin and she changed her face quickly to get professional again. “I think we should wait until Sandy is available it doesn’t seem fair to do this without her and I have to get home anyway and work on some articles.” Mr. Collins said as he got up to shake Samantha’s hand.
“Thank you for your Time Ms. Steele and Mike I’ll see you later.” He said while shaking his hand next. After he left, Raymond came in. “Ok the meeting’s now over right?” he asked and Samantha nodded looking at Michael. “Could you give us a moment sport? I want to catch up with my Fiancé.” Michael said shooing him away. Instead of arguing with him and making Sam upset, he simply complied and left the room again.
Michael then grabbed Samantha and kissed her passionately. “I’ve missed you muffin.” He whispered but she slapped him and forced him off of her. “Did you seriously think you could just stroll up in here kiss me and
think everything would be alright Michael? You left me standing in a church with both of our families confused.” She said holding back tears. He grabbed and hugged her close and said “I know baby but I was scared…I know I left you in that apartment alone and in pain and I regret it to this very day.” He held her close and she felt him… just the way she remembered. He kissed her again this time pushing her against the wall and she let out a little gasp of air when she felt the cold wall against her back.
They were both taking shallow breaths and he slid his hands up her thigh which made her moan. She really hadn’t been with any other man besides Michael because well she lost all self-confidence after he left her the first time, before she could even come back to reality his hand was already near her folds and started his evil spell. His fingers pulling and teasing her all she could do was moan, it felt so good to her she was lost in his scent… a scent she always smelled in her apartment. “M…Michael oh…”she moaned as his fingers entered her.
Raymond could hear her moaning from the desk outside the office and it made him furious with both of them, him for just barging in and just taking her and her for just submitting to him like she’s that weak. He got up,
collected the rest of his work and went home but he didn’t leave quick enough without hearing what really tipped him over, the sound that only he wanted to hear in his bedroom, the sound Samantha makes when she cums.Raymond was hurt and left the office.
“Let’s go home baby.” Michael murmured as he kissed her forehead and took his fingers out of her. “Damn Sam you weren’t with anyone while I was gone was you?” Samantha blushed. “N…no I wasn’t I was focused on my work, Depression and heartbreak.” She said looking up at him finally with tears in her eyes. Michael hugged her close and whispered. “It’s gonna be different this time baby our paths crossed again because it was fate… I know it.” He said kissing her slowly and passionately.
They got home and he looked around and was shocked that everything looked different. “What did you do to our apartment?” he said looking around. “I changed everything because I had to get over losing you, so Raymond helped me redecorate.” Before she could even change the subject, all she felt was his hand across her face. “Don’t ever say that name in my house again do you understand me?” he said. Samantha couldn’t believe what just happened but just as soon as she was getting ready to
say something he hugged her and said with a saddened look “babe I’m so sorry I don’t know what came over me I promise it won’t happen again.” She looked up at him. “its ok babe…I know how you feel about him so I’ll try not to bring him up as much.” She said as she kissed him and walked to the mirror by the door.
“It’s not that bad if I cover it up and wear a pair of my shades,” suddenly her phone rang and it was Sandy Collins. “Hey Sam I was wondering if you liked our little surprise?” she asked and Samantha was confused “Sandy what are you talking about?” she asked a little afraid now. “Michael silly we did all of this so that you and Michael can be together again… so what’s going on is he home?” she laughed so that’s why they pulled this little stunt. “He’s home we’re just getting him use to the house again.” She said as Michael looks at the other changes made.
Samantha finally got off the phone and walked around to find Michael in the bedroom. “Sam… was he ever in this room?” he said but she didn’t quite hear what he said so she asked. “What did you say baby?” and once again he
asked. “Was that boy ever in here with you?” he didn’t hide his anger that time. “Only to help put the bed set and
my television up.” He smacked her so hard that she almost fell back. “YOU SLEPT WITH HIM DIDN’T YOU!?” he screamed as he went to grab her but she backed away from him. “Michael stop it please I didn’t sleep with Raymond.” She said still backing away.
Michael stalked towards her holding his hands out. “Come here Samantha…NOW!” he said as she backed into a corner. She slumped down and began to cry. “Please…Michael stop it… I’m telling the truth baby please believe me.” She begged as he towered over her. He picked her up and began kissing her… the same way he kissed her at the office and she gave in and submitted once again.
Sam woke up the next morning alone with a note beside her that read “Just had to go take care of something… breakfast is on the table and I made some fresh orange juice for you. I’ll see you later Love Mike xoxoxo.” She smiled at the note he left, it kind of eased her mind because she thought that he left again. She heard a knock on the door and went to see who it is. “I came over to check up on you and bring these papers for you…” Raymond said. She can tell that he was tense which made
her wonder if he heard her when Mike was giving her a surprise in her office?
She took the files and put them on the table. “Why don’t you come in? I need to talk to you about something.” She said tugging him a little. “I heard you Sam.” He said after there was a minute of silence and she blushed. “You did? “She said in shock. Well this was embarrassing, she didn’t know he was even still in the office and was it just her or did it seem like Raymond sounded hurt? She blew that thought away and came back to reality. “I’m sorry you heard that Ray…” she whispered. He was sitting next to her so he got a really good look of her.
“What happened to your eye Sam?” he asked but she didn’t respond. He reached out to touch the now visible scar on her face but she turned away. “It’s nothing really I was trying to get something out of my closet and hit my eye by accident… everything is kinda shoved in there since Michael moved back in…” she said. She looked up at him and saw his anger so she got up and walked to the kitchen. “So he’s moving back in now?” he said as he followed her but all she did was nod. After all the s**t he put her through… but he couldn’t stop her from being
with him… this was her choice and all he could do was give her support and be there for her
