Roy

Melzgad walked through the dimly lit corridors of the academy, his eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of movement. He had been warned about the dangers that lurked in the academy's corridors, but he had never seen anything out of the ordinary. As he turned a corner, he caught sight of a figure standing in the shadows. The figure was tall and lean, with piercing blue eyes that seemed to bore into Melzgad's very soul. Melzgad's instincts told him to be wary, but he stood his ground, his eyes locked on the stranger. The stranger smiled, a warm and friendly smile that put Melzgad at ease. "Hello, I'm Roy," the stranger said, extending a hand. "I've seen you around the academy, but we've never really talked." Melzgad took Roy's hand, feeling a firm but gentle handshake. "I'm Melzgad," he said, smiling back at Roy. "Nice to meet you." Roy's smile grew wider, and he nodded. "Likewise, Melzgad. I've heard great things about you. You're quite the talented student." Melzgad felt a surge of pride at Roy's words, but he tried to stay humble. "Thanks, Roy," he said. "I try my best." Roy nodded, his eyes sparkling with interest. "I can tell," he said. "I've been watching you from afar, and I must say, I'm impressed. You have a certain... spark within you." Melzgad felt a shiver run down his spine at Roy's words, but he couldn't quite put his finger on why. There was something about Roy that seemed... off, but he couldn't quite explain what it was. As they talked, Melzgad found himself feeling more and more at ease with Roy. Roy was friendly and charming, and he seemed to genuinely care about getting to know Melzgad. But despite his growing comfort with Roy, Melzgad couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more to Roy's story. Something that he wasn't quite telling. As they parted ways, Melzgad couldn't help but wonder what Roy's true intentions were. Was he really just a friendly student, or was there something more to him? Melzgad decided to seek out Aria's advice, hoping that she could help him make sense of the encounter. He found her in the library, surrounded by stacks of dusty old books. "Aria, I need to talk to you," Melzgad said, his voice low and urgent. Aria looked up from her book, her eyes narrowing as she took in Melzgad's expression. "What's wrong, Melzgad?" she asked. Melzgad hesitated, unsure of how to explain the encounter with Roy. But Aria's encouraging smile helped him to open up, and he told her everything. As he finished his story, Aria's expression turned thoughtful. "I think we need to be careful, Melzgad," she said. "We don't know much about Roy, and it's always better to err on the side of caution." Melzgad nodded, feeling a sense of relief. He was glad that Aria shared his concerns about Roy. "What can we do?" Melzgad asked. Aria's eyes sparkled with determination. "We can start by training you to use your powers more effectively," she said. "If Roy is a threat, we need to be prepared." Melzgad nodded, feeling a sense of determination. He was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, and he knew that Aria would be by his side every step of the way. Melzgad trailed behind Roy, trying to be as stealthy as possible. He had been following him for a few blocks, and so far, Roy hadn't seemed to notice. But just as Melzgad was starting to think that he had gotten away with it, he heard a rustling in the bushes. Suddenly, a group of Orcs emerged from the shadows, their eyes fixed on Melzgad. Roy was nowhere to be seen, and Melzgad realized that he had been ambushed. The Orcs charged at Melzgad, their crude swords raised high. Melzgad stood his ground, his heart racing with fear. He knew that he had to act fast if he wanted to survive. Melzgad focused his mind, calling upon the power of his Time Eyes. He felt a surge of energy flow through him, and suddenly, time seemed to slow down. The Orcs were frozen in place, their swords suspended in mid-air. Melzgad took advantage of the opportunity, using the "Shadow Slip" technique that Aria had taught him. He slipped between the frozen Orcs, using his agility and quick reflexes to avoid their attacks. As he moved, Melzgad used his Time Eyes to analyze the Orcs' movements, anticipating their next attacks. Melzgad used the "Chrono Strike" technique, striking at the Orcs' weak points while they were still frozen in time. He moved swiftly and precisely, taking down the Orcs one by one. But despite his best efforts, Melzgad couldn't avoid taking a few hits. One Orc managed to land a blow on his shoulder, sending a wave of pain through his body. Melzgad gritted his teeth, using his Time Eyes to push through the pain. He fought on, using the "Temporal Loop" technique to create a localized time loop. The Orcs were caught in the loop, reliving the same few seconds over and over again. Melzgad took advantage of the opportunity, using the "Time Dilation" technique to slow down time even further. He moved through the loop, taking down the Orcs one by one. His movements were swift and precise, his Time Eyes guiding him through the battle. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Melzgad emerged victorious. The Orcs were defeated, and he was left standing, his chest heaving with exhaustion. The dead Orcs parts instantly disintegrated rapidly in nothingness. Melzgad took a moment to catch his breath, his eyes scanning the surroundings for any signs of Roy. But Roy was nowhere to be seen, and Melzgad was left wondering if he had been set up. Shaking his head, Melzgad made his way back to the academy, his mind racing with questions. Who had ambushed him? And what did they want? As he walked, Melzgad couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched. He looked over his shoulder, but there was no one there. Despite the minor injury to his shoulder, Melzgad felt a sense of pride and accomplishment. He had fought off the Orcs, and he had come out on top. And he knew that he owed it all to Aria, who had taught him the skills and techniques that had saved his life. Melzgad walked into the common room, looking forward to a relaxing evening with his friends. But as he entered, he was met with a chorus of complaints. "Hey, Melzgad, where have you been?" Lyra asked, her voice tinged with annoyance. "We haven't seen you in ages." "Yeah, it's like you've abandoned us," Kael added, his eyes narrowing in mock accusation. Melzgad sighed, feeling a pang of guilt. He had been spending a lot of time with Aria lately, learning new skills and techniques to help him master his Time Eyes. "I'm sorry, guys," Melzgad said, holding up his hands in a gesture of apology. "I've just been really busy with my studies. Aria's been helping me with my coursework, and I've been spending a lot of time with her." Zara raised an eyebrow. "Aria, huh? You're spending a lot of time with her, aren't you?" Melzgad nodded, trying to sound nonchalant. "Yeah, she's just really helpful with my studies. She's a great tutor." Lyra frowned. "We've never seen you study so much before. What's going on?" Melzgad shrugged, trying to deflect their questions. "I just want to do well in my classes, that's all. Aria's been a big help, and I'm just trying to take advantage of her expertise." Kael nodded, seeming to accept Melzgad's explanation. "Alright, we get it. You're just trying to be a good student. But can you at least make some time for us? We miss hanging out with you." Melzgad smiled, feeling a sense of relief. "Of course, guys. I promise to make more time for you. Let's plan something for tomorrow, okay?" His friends nodded in agreement, and Melzgad felt a sense of gratitude towards them. He knew that he could always count on them to be there for him, no matter what. As they made plans for the next day, Melzgad couldn't help but feel a sense of guilt for lying to his friends. He knew that he couldn't keep his secret hidden forever, but for now, he was willing to do whatever it took to protect his friends and keep them safe.
