Chapter 2 - Here

“Where are you? It’s already 9:30! You should have been here an hour ago!” Lexi said with concern and frustration.

“I just turned into the drive. I’ll be at the gate in ten minutes. Hold your horses will you!” Ana responded.

“What’s taking you so long? I told the guards at the gate that you would be here an hour ago. They may have already switched for their shift change! The new guards won’t know who you are!” Lexi exclaimed.

“Then mindlink them and let them know. I’m almost there. Calm down woman!” Ana responded hanging up the phone.

Ana drove all the way down the drive and as she got closer and closer, she could see the giant wall coming into view. She then saw the gate and became nervous when she saw the guard’s holding guns and questioned if she was in the correct place or not. She pulled up to the guard’s little hut and a tall muscular guard waved at her stopping her.

“State your business intruder.” He said sternly.

“I’m not an intruder. I’m here to visit the beta family. Lexi, Chucho and Pepito. Sorry, I was supposed to be here an hour ago, but I fell behind due to traffic.” She explained to the very intimidating guard.

“Are you Analise Gutierrez?” He asked looking her dead in her eyes. Ana nodded. “Identification please.” He asked. Ana reached over into the passenger seat and grabbed her wallet and pulled out her driver’s license. And handed it over to the guard. He inspected it for a couple of minutes. Holding it up into the sunlight and then down towards the ground. Ana couldn’t help but be curious about how thorough they were with guests.

“You’re good to go.” The guard said handing her back her driver’s license. He walked away from her car and made a spinning motion with his hand. At that, the gate began to open up. She stopped before going through and asked the guard where she could find the pack house.

“Go straight down the main road until you see a park, there, take a left and it’s a straight shot from there.” He answered her.

“Thank you so much.” She said smiling.

Ana did as the guard instructed and soon saw a huge five story house coming into view. She dialed Lexi’s phone number through the car, and she answered after the first ring.

“Are you here?” Lexi asked.

“Yep!” Ana answered.

“EEEE, we’ll head down now! Just pull up in front of the pack house. One of the omega’s will take care of your car.” Lexi said.

“Okay. I’ll be here… AHHHHHH!!” Ana started and ended with a scream of pure terror. Lexi didn’t even think twice. She immediately took off towards the front doors of the pack house.
