It was only about ten minutes later when Leena decided to pick up her phone and see who had called her. If it was an explanation about why Ransom had gone in such a hurry, then she wanted to know. She flipped her phone over. There was a voicemail icon at the top, so she called to see what the message was.
“Good evening. This message is for Leena Morris. I'm Officer Ron Henson. We've brought into custody a man we believed to have been involved in a prior incident that you might have some information about. We would like you to come in for some questioning and to potentially identify this man. Please call us back or come straight to Station 12, Central."
What a letdown, Leena thought. Here she got her hopes up that Ransom had called her to apologize, or at least explain where he went, but
