They all ran out into the woods, staying together as a pack. Jordan ran out in front, his large black wolf almost disappearing in the shadows. They were running mindlessly, not one of them fully concentrating. Todd moved forward trying to catch up with Jordan. He wasn’t thinking, they all needed to just slow down and focus.
He had almost caught up to Jordan when he saw his cousins wolf suddenly roll. He continued to run to where Jordan lay on the ground. As he neared he saw the scratch marks across his cousins face.
“Attack” he roared through the mind link. The others ran straight for Todd and as they came together as a group they circled Jordan. The all stood there, watching every shadow, checking every sound.. They would stand there until the sun came up if they had to.
