Allyssa
As soon as we entered his room at his house, David quickly took off my clothes. I barely realized we had already arrived at his place and were inside his room. He carried me and sat me on the edge of the bed before capturing my lips again.
He was my first kiss. I had really saved my first kiss for him. And never in my wildest dreams did I think he would also become the first man in my life, though I had always wished it would happen. And it did.
I didn’t resist as he lay me down on the bed. All my inhibitions disappeared at this moment.
"I’ll give you one last chance to say no, Allyssa," he said breathlessly after releasing my lips.
I lifted my one hand and caressed his face. I had dreamed of this moment countless times, and whenever I woke up, I felt deep regret. So why would I back out now? Even if I knew his aggressiveness was just from being drunk, I didn’t care.
My fingers traced from his eyes down his nose to his red lips that were sweet as candy and soft as marshmallows.
If I were dreaming right now, I’d let myself be carried away by this beautiful dream.
"Who would say no to a handsome man like you?" I answered David, almost in a daze. He smiled and claimed my mouth once more.
After that, we didn’t speak anymore. Only our bodies communicated and understood each other.
I felt pain as David finally broke the hymen that proved my innocence. He paused briefly and stared at me in disbelief, as if he hadn’t expected me to still be a virgin. Well, of course. With all those dirty rumors about me and his cousin Mike, anyone would think I wasn’t pure anymore.
"Go on, please," I begged him when I saw the hesitation on his face and in his movements. I closed my eyes tightly, pulled his neck down, and kissed him.
His hesitation vanished at once. This time, he was gentler, as if worried I’d feel more pain. But the pain quickly faded and was replaced by indescribable feelings.
Exhausted and completely satisfied, I fell asleep right after we reached the peak of pleasure. The sun was already up when I woke up. I immediately remembered what had happened between David and me the night before.
I carefully looked over at David, who was still sleeping beside me. I smiled slightly. I had no regrets giving my virginity to him. I’d loved him for so long. And I was sure there would be no other man I’d ever love, even if he loved someone else.
I raised my hand to caress his face, but stopped mid-air. I worried he’d wake up and get angry when he found out what happened last night. He was drunk and had no control over himself, while I was completely sober. So the only one to blame for what happened was me. I’d taken advantage of his drunken state to fulfill my long-held obsession.
I quietly got out of bed, gathered my scattered clothes from the floor, and put them back on. I also piled up his clothes and set them on the edge of the bed. After getting dressed, I picked up my shoulder bag from the floor, slung it over my shoulder, and slowly walked toward the door.
"Where do you think you’re going?" I froze in my tracks when I heard David’s voice. He was awake. "After what you did last night, you’re just going to run away from your responsibility?"
I slowly turned to face him and gave a small smile. "Don’t worry, David. We’re both adults, and what happened last night was just an accident. I’ll never—"
"So you really aren’t going to take responsibility for what you did?" he cut me off irritably. I couldn’t understand why he seemed so upset. What did he mean? Did he want me to be responsible? How?
"You want me to take responsibility for what happened last night?" I asked to be sure.
"Yes," he answered without hesitation.
"How?"
How was I supposed to take responsibility? Did he want me to marry him? Oh no! That was impossible. David would never marry a woman he didn’t love. Besides, one-night stands were common now, not just in movies but in real life too.
"Wait for me." David got out of bed, not caring that he was only wearing boxers. I felt embarrassed and turned away quickly.
"Can you please get dressed properly before we talk?"
I thought he was getting dressed, but I flinched when I felt his arms wrap around my waist.
"Why are you shy now? You were more than happy to touch my body last night and—"
"Stop it!" I turned to face him quickly, covering his mouth with one hand while pressing the other against his broad chest.
David took my hand from his mouth and lowered it. "You’re shy, but your hand is still caressing my chest," he whispered teasingly.
I looked down at his chest and realized he was right. I hadn’t noticed my hand was still resting there.
"I’m sorry! I’ll just wait for you outside!" I rushed out of his room faster than lightning.
My legs felt weak as I leaned against his bedroom door and my hands pressed to my chest. My heart was racing like a herd of horses inside me. I looked at the hand that had touched his chest and brushed it off hard. As if my hand had a mind of its own and moved on its own when it touched his chest. Stupid hand. I felt like cutting it off.
A few minutes later, David came out of his room fully dressed.
"Let’s go." He took my hand and pulled me out of his house.
"Where are we going?" I asked in confusion.
"To a place where you can take responsibility for what you did last night," he replied quickly, as if what happened was entirely my fault.
My eyes widened when I saw he’d brought me to a judge’s office.
"What are we doing here?" I couldn’t help asking him. Was he going to sue me? But people don’t go straight to a judge when they want to file a lawsuit.
"What else would we do here but get married?" he answered without hesitation.
I stared blankly at him. Were we getting married? Was I dreaming? The man I’d had a crush on for so long was going to be my husband just like that?
"You don’t have to take responsibility for what happened, David. As I said, we’re both adults. One-night stands are common these days." Even though I desperately wanted to marry him, I didn’t want him tied to me just out of a sense of duty.
"So you’re saying you’d have one-night stands with other men just because it’s common?" he asked irritably. Why was he suddenly upset? He should be glad I was open-minded and wasn’t forcing him to take responsibility.
"Of course not!" I answered quickly. I only did it because it was you, I added in my mind.
"Then shut up and just follow me," he said firmly. "And for the record, I’m not the one taking responsibility but you are. You’re the one who has to take responsibility for what happened between us. Understand?"
I just blinked repeatedly before nodding at him. I was the one taking responsibility for what happened between us. I kept repeating those words to myself like it was a magic word.
A short while later, the judge arrived and he was a friend of David. In less than half an hour, we were married.
After our civil wedding, I still couldn’t believe we were married. That we were already husband and wife. I’d only dreamed of being his wife before, and now it was real. We got married just like that. What would happen next? Would we live together? Just thinking about sharing a home with him made me feel excited. I was going to make him fall in love with me.
