Looking at the man she’d clung to all night, she felt a bit embarrassed.
"Morning!" Quickly pulling her hand back, she got out of bed as if nothing had happened and headed to the bathroom to freshen up.
When she entered the room, her cheeks were slightly flushed, something Adrian Walyon did not miss.
During breakfast, the two of them dined together at the hotel.
Adrian Walyon ordered the meal and casually picked up a newspaper from the table to take a look.
The headline in today’s news was sensational, relating to the Walyons.
Headline: Alliance of Walyon and Sutton Families, Walyon Clan Group’s sole heir is set to marry the Sutton Family’s daughter.
The news even dragged up the fact that the marriage arrangement between the two families had been set by the elders long ago.
Adrian Walyon finished reading the news report thoroughly and clenched his slender fingers.
The Walyon Family has always been low-key; no one in the family has ever let their private lives go public in front of the media.
This news obviously wasn’t leaked by the Walyons.
If not the Walyons, then it could only be Gina Sutton and her father.
Before Adrian Walyon met Gina Sutton, they released the news, letting everyone know about the alliance of the two families.
If at that time Adrian Walyon didn’t take a liking to Gina Sutton and refused to marry, the news would shift to make the Walyons look like they wronged the Suttons, breaking promises and so on.
The Walyons, considering their face, would have to marry even if they didn’t want to.
The Sutton father and daughter set this trap and waited for Adrian Walyon to fall in.
They dared to scheme against him!
Adrian Walyon glanced sideways at Summer Sutton opposite him, sneering disdainfully.
The Sutton father and daughter were adept at scheming, but they would never have predicted that all of this was already under his control, right?
"What are you looking at?" Summer Sutton lifted her face, asking suspiciously.
"Nothing." Adrian Walyon composed his expression and casually tossed the paper aside.
After a simple breakfast, he drove Summer Sutton back to Northtown.
Summer Sutton had classes the next day, and upon returning to Northtown, she insisted on staying at school, using the need to prepare for tomorrow’s classes as an excuse.
But what she didn’t expect was that Adrian Walyon would also stay behind.
"Go inside and pack what you need for tomorrow. I’ll wait for you here!" he demanded as he dropped her off outside the school gate.
"Why are you waiting for me?" Summer Sutton didn’t understand his purpose.
"Not going back, I’m staying here with you tonight. Shouldn’t Miss Sutton be moved?" Adrian Walyon asked, casting her a sidelong glance.
Summer Sutton looked at him incredulously, "You’re staying over tonight?"
"As someone about to become Miss Sutton’s husband, it’s my duty to care about Miss Sutton’s life," Adrian Walyon lazily replied.
Summer Sutton was infuriated.
She rejected his concern!
Seeing her standing still, Adrian Walyon casually opened the car door and walked towards her slowly, gesturing towards the school gate with his gaze, "Or should I accompany you inside?"
Summer Sutton backed away quickly, shaking her head, "No! I’ll head back myself! I’ll go in right away!"
"I’ll give you twenty minutes. I’ll wait for you here. If you’re not out in twenty minutes, I’ll go in!" Adrian Walyon threw her the words as he leaned against the car and started checking his watch.
He seemed to be really timing it, and Summer Sutton, afraid he might actually go inside, dashed off towards the dormitory at a brisk pace.
Today was different from the holidays; with so many people at school, if Adrian Walyon were to enter the girls’ dormitory again, it would likely cause a sensation across the whole campus.
Back at the dormitory, she swiftly packed the items she needed for tomorrow’s classes and changed into another outfit before rushing out of the dormitory building.
She ran very fast, like a hundred-meter sprint, afraid that if she appeared late, Adrian Walyon might really come in later.
Just as she was about to step out the door, she bumped into Gina Sutton.
Gina Sutton was almost knocked over and screamed, "Summer Sutton, what are you doing? In such a rush, are you trying to reincarnate?"
"It’s none of your business." Summer Sutton had no time to deal with her, threw her a line, and ran out of the school gate.
Gina Sutton turned her head to look in her direction, suspiciously furrowing her brows.
Carrying so many books, where was she going?
With curiosity, Gina Sutton also walked out of the school gate.
Summer Sutton, sweating profusely, returned to Adrian Walyon’s side, not wanting to be seen by others from school, she bent down and got into his car, "Let’s go!"
Adrian Walyon checked the time on his watch, not early, not late, exactly twenty minutes.
It seems his warning was quite effective.
He followed her into the car, sat in the driver’s seat, and slowly started the car.
Gina Sutton stood not far away, quietly watching this scene, hailed a cab, and followed them.
Adrian Walyon had just returned from River City and had been driving all day today.
When looking for a hotel, he didn’t drive far but chose one near the school, completed the check-in process, and walked in.
Summer Sutton followed behind him, her head hanging low the entire time, shielding her face with textbooks, trying to avoid being recognized by anyone from school.
Adrian Walyon glanced at her from the corner of his eye, his expression somewhat subtle.
Her personality is entirely different from her cousin’s.
Gina Sutton fears no one knowing about her connection with the Walyon Family, while Summer Sutton tries to distance herself as much as possible.
Summer Sutton walked behind him, her emotions particularly complex.
They had only known each other for four days and already spent three nights together, staying at hotels twice.
For college students, staying at a hotel doesn’t sound good, even if Adrian Walyon didn’t do anything to her.
Gina Sutton stood not far from the hotel, witnessing the two walk in and started taking photos with her phone.
Going into a hotel with a man at night, this time, Summer Sutton probably can’t clear her name, can she?
Gina Sutton had never met Adrian Walyon, and it wasn’t just her. Because Adrian was rarely seen, not many in Northtown knew his face.
Satisfied with the photos on her phone, Gina Sutton stored them away like a treasure and quietly left the hotel.
...
Summer Sutton followed Adrian Walyon into the room, and after a simple dinner in the room, knowing she had classes tomorrow, she washed up and snuggled into the covers.
Since Adrian Walyon had been driving all day, Summer Sutton thought he must be very tired and wouldn’t do anything to her, so she slept rather peacefully.
The two lay side by side in bed, and at first, indeed, nothing happened between them; neither intruded into the other’s space.
However, not even an hour had passed, and Summer Sutton’s bad habit of sleeping restlessly kicked in. She turned over and softly nestled against him, sending herself entirely into his embrace.
It was still early, only 9:30, and Adrian Walyon wasn’t really sleepy, so he instantly woke up.
In the darkness, his gaze upon her was somewhat profound.
Tonight, for some reason, Summer Sutton felt a bit hot.
After not sleeping for long, she awoke hazily again, opened her eyes, and before she could see clearly, Adrian Walyon’s body suddenly enveloped hers...
