Liora’s POV
After lunch, I returned to Reeve Holdings and tried to put everything that had happened out of my mind. Mina had gone back to the apartment, and although I knew I would have to face her later, I did not want to spend the rest of my workday going over the same conversation in my head.
It did not work.
Every time I looked away from my computer, I remembered what I had seen near the elevators. Mina had been flirting with Ezra, and although she had denied wanting anything from him, she had admitted that she found him attractive.
I knew attraction itself was not a crime. People noticed other people. That was part of being human. What bothered me was that Mina had tested whether Ezra might be interested in her, knowing exactly who he was to me.
Still, I did not want to turn one
