Liora’s POV I ran. Not fast at first, just steady, my feet pounding against the gravel path that curled around the winery grounds. The air was warm, carrying the smell of grapes and earth, but my chest still felt tight, like I had swallowed too much and couldn’t quite breathe. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw him. Ezra. So close that I could feel his breath against my skin and close that I had been certain he was going to kiss me. The memory burned behind my eyelids, making my heart race all over again.
