Chapter 6

William tried touching my hand, but I pulled away. I didn't want him near me anymore. I couldn't even look at him. He disgusted me. He sighed, leaning back into his seat, placing his hand on his thigh. "What did that maggot tell you?" he asked with rage in his voice. I couldn't contain myself anymore. "Everything! You're a monster!" I yelled, now looking at him dead in the eye. Tears streaming down my cheeks. He moved towards me quickly, clasping his hand around my throat. He didn't squeeze. He placed his fingers on my jaw so that I don't look away. I wanted to spit at him, but I don't want to be as low as him. "I'm not a monster. I know what I did last night was wrong, and I'm sorry. When I'm around those people, I try to be professional. They know the Vampire law when a human girl signs a contract that we make." he tried to explain, but I just rolled my eyes at him. "I don't want to hurt you, Lilith." "What stood on the fine print?" I asked, anger now taking over my body. "That, when the time is right, I will change you. Before taking your virginity. You'll become mine forever. I won't do it without your consent." he exclaimed. I didn't want to be a vampire and in any case, I'm a witch! What would happen if he did try to change me? Would I die? I felt he didn't give more information that was on the fine print, but I wasn't in the mood for him anymore. I finally pulled away from him, pressing my back against the door, not taking my sights off of him. He clutched his hand and shook his head. Returning to his seat, he decided to stare out the window. I looked out his window, and saw that we're near my place. So, I wasn't going to his place? He was taking me home? My home? A slight smile formed on my face as I looked ahead of me. As the car stopped, I quickly opened the door, getting out and banging the door behind me. I ran to the front door, kneeling down, I picked up a rock and grabbed the spare keys. As I stood up, William was beside me. He frightened me, holding his arm out and resting his hand on the door frame, not wanting me to go inside yet. I stood there, looking at him for a few seconds. "There's a party tonight. You know you have to be there. We're hosting a celebration. My father will be stepping down for good." I nodded as he talked, folding my arms over my chest. "Okay." I whispered, looking at my door, just wanting to go inside and away from him. "Good. I'll be picking you up at 6. I left clothes inside for you." As I wanted to ask him how he got inside, he flashed to the car. I looked at him as he got in, shaking my head as my jaw was dropped. I didn't have a choice. I had to follow his contract. Who knows what would happen if I broke it? I think I did break a rule or two, but I think if I broke more, I would be done for. I quickly unlocked the door and headed inside. I pushed the key into my pocket. I leaned against the door, sliding down onto my bum slowly. My heart rate didn't calm down. I couldn't calm down. "Poor Cole. I hope he's okay." I whispered to myself. I sat there for a while, thinking about the events that happened since last night. I sighed, getting up slowly. I walked passed the front desk towards the stairs. "Good morning, Lilith." Mrs. Brown said in a cheerful voice. She was a sweet woman. She wasn't very old either. She's the same age as my mom. She always greeted me when I walk pass. She even brings me snacks sometimes. Her daughter died in a car crash with her father a few years ago. Now, she treated me as her own. "Good morning, Mrs. Brown." I smiled and waved slightly, quickly making my way to the stairs. My apartment was on the second floor. I preferred my apartment being closer to the first floor. I could get in and out a bit quicker. As I got to my apartment, I heard my house phone ringing from inside. I hurriedly opened my door, banging it closed behind me. I ran towards the kitchen where the phone was, answering as quick as I could. "Hello?" "Lilith! Thank God! I've been trying to get hold of you this whole morning. You can be glad you're not under my roof anymore. I would've grounded you till the day you die, missy." "Hello aunty. I'm sorry. I think I forgot my phone in the office." I explained, trying to calm her down, wanting her to know I was fine. "I'm gonna be there soon. We have to talk." Finally! I hope she tells me what actually happened to my mom and at least help me figure out this whole witch thing. "I would love that." "Okay. I'll see you in a few minutes. Goodbye, sweetheart." "Goodbye aunty." I put the phone down, leaning against the wall, crossing my arms over my chest. I exhaled aloud, worried that Cole's story was about my family. If it was true, I wouldn't know what to do. I rubbed my thumb over the ring my mom gave me, thinking long and hard about everything. A few minutes passed. I heard my door bell ring and my aunt kept banging on the door, yelling for me to open. I hurried to the door, opening it slowly. "Hi aunty." I said like a little girl, shrugging my shoulders. She didn't look amuzed. She walked passed me and straight to the lounge. She stopped in her tracks, locking her fingers together while looking at the photo of me and my mom on the coffee table. I walked towards her slowly, breathing calmly so that I don't worry her. "I believe your mom got through to you? " she asked, still looking at the photo. "Yes, she did..." I paused for a brief moment before continuing, "And there's something else." She turned around quickly to face me. Her eyebrows arched up, worried that I already knew the truth. She quickly came towards me, wrapping her arms around my neck. I slowly wrapped my arms around her body. "I'm so sorry that I didn't tell you everything. Please, forgive me." she whispered, her voice cracking as she starts crying. "I forgive you, aunty. I know why you didn't tell me, but I need to know if the Patrova family..." "Yes." she interceded, pulling away from me. Honestly? I deserve better than the clandestine in my family, but I did appreciate her wanting to open up to me and tell me the truth. I deserve the truth. Everyone keeps lying to me. They are also so secretive. I walked in to something I could never get out of. My aunt's face changed, turning hard, almost statue-like. Her expression frightened me to my core. "The Patrova family... Killed your mother." The truth made my heart ache even more. I was hoping that I was only dreaming. That whatever I found out by Cole, would just be a slither of a lie, but it wasn't. Everything he said was true. Now I feel more in danger than ever before. "Sweety, you still have the ring?" she asked through stiff lips. "Yes. I never take it off." I sounded trivial. "That ring is like a cloak. Remove it for a long period of time, the vampires will find out what you are. The ring also helps to keep your powers suppressed, but it can break if you let your emotions control you." Noted. I'm glad I never removed the ring. Otherwise I would've been dead by now. "Also, your powers are unique. No spell are needed to be casted. Your raw emotions drive your power." She said, her lips curling slightly into a smile. "That's why I was able to heal Cole?" I muttered to myself while looking down. "Cole?" "A friend. He was injured. I was afraid and in an instant, I healed him." Her jaw tightened. Her eyes turned into more worry. I'm glad I don't have to learn spells, but I was confused. I know witches have to cast spells, curses and hexes. So I can actually hurt someone without being able to stop myself? This is really freaking me out. I don't want to hurt anyone. I don't want to be a monster like him. I can't go down a dark path. I'm good. I don't want to be evil or do something that would put so many lives in danger. My thoughts caused my head to spin. "Your mom said you should control your emotions. The stronger the emotions, the stronger your powers are. Please, be careful, Sweety." I nodded and pulled my aunt into a tight hug. I knew she couldn't stay long. Her floral business is at its peak. Her flowers bloom through the year. Now I know why. She's an amazing person. I can't imagine my life without her. She's the closest thing I have to a mom right now. She pulled away from me, her pursing blue eyes staring into my soul. She smiled slightly before taking her leave. William's POV After taking Lilith home, my chest felt heavy and I felt empty. This girl p****s me off, but she also brings light into my life. I feel conflicted. Her scent, her body. Everything about her makes me crazy. On the one hand, I want to protect her, on the other hand, I want to hurt her so badly that she pleads me to stop. Yelling out my name in pain and anguish. Lilith was right. I am a monster, but I'm trying to be better. I'm trying not to turn out like my father, but she makes it so difficult. Why does she have to be so perfect? "Master?" a small voice broke my reverie. "Yes, Camille?" Camille was my servent. I bought her off my father after he tortured her almost to death. She's a small human. Almost like Lilith. Her porcelain skin was flawless, her big, bright blue eyes always made my stone cold heart melt. Her ash blonde hair fell down to her bum, perfectly curled into waves. She's a perfect little servent. She's also my walking blood bag when I'm home, and my toy. She fulfills so many desires. Her body so frail, it could almost break underneath my weight. She endures so much. She's also very obedient. Unlike Lilith. She does whatever I tell her without batting an eye, rejecting me or using any derogatory slurs. She was unswervingly loyal. "Master, why do you look pained?" her voice had some contrast between words and tone. "It's my employee. She frustrates me." I growled through my teeth. "Lady Lilith?" "What?" I asked, my eyes darting up at her. "Lady Lilith, master. You murmer her name in your sleep." she confessed. How did I not know this? I don't even dream. How could this f*****g girl seep into my thoughts even while I sleep? I shuddered away from the thought. "Yes." I was blunt, I know, but I'm so sick and tired of thinking about her the whole time. "Master? Do you want to take your frustrations out on me?" She asked willingly while starting to remove her maid uniform. In a flash, I was in front of her. My hands caressing her shoulders as I dipped my head towards the crook of her neck, inserting my fangs deep into her skin. She moaned softly as the pain and pleasure took over her body. She knows not to touch me while I toy with her. My hands now grazing down her arms and to her stomach and up to her small, ferm breasts. I pinched her n*****s between my fingers and she let out another moan of pleasure. I have to get rid of the thoughts of Lilith for now. I'm seeing her again tonight at my father's party. She's just going to frustrate me even more. I want her. I want her so badly, I can't contain myself. She will be mine completely. With or without her concent.
